I mean, c'mon, splitting apart just before the blade passes through him?! Seems as equally an outlandish explanation as the Ponda Baba explanation.

1. Well, it'd be damn impressive if he could split himself apart and had the reflexes to do it before he took a hit. I mean, let's say Durge was standing there with no armor on, merely a hulking mass of, um... tentacles or whatever he is. Obi-wan slices for his arm, and in the moment before the hit, the arm disengages itself, the blade passes through the gap, and then the arm reattaches. That'd be damn intimidating, in my opinion. happy

2. What "Ponda Baba explanation"? wink

The end of the one where he absorbs Obi and Obi blows him apart into so much sticky goo? Cuz that's the one that just premiered at 7:00 here in the Midwest. wink

It could go either way. It looks like hes reforming at the end of the episode...but its no big deal if he doesnt. He, chronologically, doesnt have any appearances after this show I don't believe.

Well, for anyone that says how durge looks inside the film isn't the same as in the comic, and artistic license is the only explanation.... They are wrong...

The cartoon has a very good visual explanation... Since he is a pile of wormy tentacles and can essentially shape himself anyway he wants to, he doesn't have to have to wear the same set of armor every time, and essentially fit into any style of clothing that he wants to, happy .

Have we SEEN what he looks like under the armor in the comic? ?:|

"Durge's neck is way too long...And his upper body was way too big for his lower body...Chalk that up to artistic interpretation/license"

I.E. They have nothing to complain about, as the show shows him to be a mass that can take any shape that he wants to, he could fit into any shape of armor, as long as its in his size.

But my question was, have we seen what he looks like under the armor in the comic books?

No we haven't see underneath his armor, and I never said we did, happy ...

His action figure gave his arms flesh tones however...

As did one of the comic book covers, IIRC.
