Because, maybe they are somehow connected to the creation of the Klingon language, which could explain things. Cause, really, how many people are there out there whose job it is to create languages for alien races in sci-fi??? 	O'Neal and Carter hugged a starfighter close to Anubis's flagship, then shot a torp into a reactor tunnel to blow a reactor that looked just like the Deat Star's one! I noticed that too- there was also a scene in that same attack on Anubis's flagship where some surface guns were tracking the X-303, firing green lasers. It was identical to the famous scene on the First Death Star of the cannon tracking the X-wings down the trench. I don't take offense to that, actually, its a bit flattering- the SG-1 producers are just paying homage to the arguable-best sci fi flicks ever made. "Imitation is the best form of flattery" as they say.
