	Actually, on the Spacebattles message forums where I post at, where fans of numerous scifi franchises come to debate and argue over which would win, Star Wars fans are refered to as Warsies. 	I haven't read any books and don't intend to. You're loss, the novels are the only truely compelling Trek out there these days. Keith R.A. DeCandido, David R. 	I find Peter David's style is quite analagous to Aaron Allston's. This is ESPECIALLY evident when comparing The New frontier with the Wraith Squadron books. I was rather incensed that there had been no new "New frontier" books for two years, but they just released three on top of each other, so I'm happy. 	I think I'll put my two credits in on Star Trek vs. Star Wars. Please keep in mind that I'm still a newbie around here and my thoughts are my own. Why? Seriously, and I mean to offend on one, but those two sci-fi franchises fighting it out has been done to death in fanfic, debates that inevitably degenerated into massive flame wars and almost incomprehensible essays on frame speed of film against frame speed of TV. And even I, a diehard Trekkie who loves all five series and ten movies, know that sheer number would grind them down. Although I say this, the United Federation of Planets, the Klingon Empire, the romulan Star Empire, the Cardassian Union, the Dominon, the Borg Collective and the other doven or so smaller nation-states would give an accounting before succumbing. -----signature----- E-married to the wonderful DarthIshtar. 	Oh man that was insane. Being a huge fan of both Star Trek and Star Wars that was a big scary and to close to be a coincidence. Actually DR/LFL getting sued could lead to the NJO being decanonized. A chain reaction of sorts. Lucas ends up handing over money, gets upset that they have to pay. Goes to question LFL and DR as to what the hell went on and why. This cause him to pay a lot more attention to the EU and the NJO. Thus seeing what has happen to his universe and how close the languages are. Unlikely but I wouldn't complain if it happen. 	i think thats just disturbing.....its practically unwritten law that the Trek sphere of Sci-Fi is totally and completely unrelated and separate from the Star Wars' sphere. imho, all parallels, although perplexing and intriguing, should be kept to ones self. -----signature----- Everything terminates. 	A couple of weeks ago, I would have balked at the concept of decanonizing the NJO, but after reading SQ.... The direction Zahn was heading seems to be much nicer.
