Even though it's called "Star Wars," it's really set during "Return of the Jedi." Admiral Ackbar briefs you on missions leading up to the destruction of the second Death Star. ... The game is best with two players. One is the pilot, who controls the speed and direction of the vehicle; the pilot can only shoot the center of the screen. The other player is the gunner, who can target a much larger area on-screen. When playing a one-player game, you must be the pilot. There are four stages of gameplay. First, destroy a squadron of TIE Fighters in an asteroid field. Second, pilot your X-Wing through a Super Star Destroyer and destroy it by blowing up a reactor. You are rewarded with a 3-D cutscene showing the Star Destroyer exploding. Next, destroy a squadron of TIE Fighters on the surface of the Death Star. Finally, fly into the unfinished Death Star and blow it up it by destroying the main reactor. You are rewarded with another 3-D cutscene as well as two 2-D animations.
