I have them both ordered and waiting for them to make their way to Germany. I have the trouble with TPBs that the English have with novels
I share the sentiment that Rebellion must not go away. It is by definition the most Star Warsy era!

RE: The Empire & Rebellion TPB Resource Thread
Currently, Rebellion is the only title I'm not picking up. I've thought about it though. The Ahakista Gambit sounded like a cool arc. I've got a question though...
Why did they make the switch from Empire to Rebellion? With Dark Times, it kind of made sense to switch titles, since the Republic had fallen. But what catalyst caused them to switch titles?

RE: The Empire & Rebellion TPB Resource Thread
They were essentially rebooting their line that year. They wanted to start everything new again, make a big deal out of it. And Empire had, anyway, started emphasizing the Rebellion over the Empire anyway. So they changed the title, so everything was starting off fresh and they didn't have one title carrying over.

I'll be getting this one soon, too. I wasn't thrilled with the first volume of Rebellion, but maybe the author will do a better job with his own characters than with Welles Hartley's. I'm willing to give the series a second shot to find out, anyway.
By the way, if anybody hasn't read Empire, it's worth picking up. The final two volumes (six and seven) are particularly good.

Certain volumes of Empire are worth picking up, but 4 & 5 are massively skippable and Vol 1 seems to have a hate it/love it reaction with most people.

I imagine they changed to Rebellion in part because of Dark Times, which also happened to take place during the time of the Empire.

Got Ahakista and read it. Fantastic. While it got resolved rather fast, it was an awesome ride. I loved Darca, I loved Tarson and the fact that he's not a hero, and I loved nothing more than Baco. Baco was hilarious. I liked the art even more than I thought I'd like it just looking at previews. The fact that the people looked real and not idealized was great. It was really a great read, and I hope people are giving Rebellion a chance.

Thirded, and I'd like to reiterate that the art is absolutely outstanding. Great use of shadow, and Michel Lacombe does a fantastic job with the most difficult challenge facing Star Wars artists -- he draws a consistent Vader.
