and lots more information:
from the Star Wars Galaxies online rpg:
Boba Fett & Death Watch OT Era information:
Boba Fett has discovered that an ancient splinter group of Mandalorian mercenaries known as the Death Watch are not just the stuff of myth and rumor but are operating out of a hidden location. Boba Fett's network of spies has also discovered that the Death Watch assassins have contracted a heavy contingent of the Black Sun to help them in their unknown plans. Are you brave enough to find out what these heinous villains are up to? Work your way through this new adventure zone with over 6 action-packed new quests and unique new crafting missions to find out what has brought these ancient warriors out of hiding!
For thousands of years, the Mandalorians served as fearsome mercenaries, working throughout the galaxy to help win wars and topple governments. Several years before the Clone Wars, however, the last of the Mandalorians were wiped out by the Jedi. Only Jango Fett survived. The galaxy at large generally believes the Mandalorians to be extinct throughout the galaxy, with Boba Fett possessing the last remaining set of fearsome Mandalorian armor.
Death Watch splinter group is a mysterious mercenary unit, using their fearsome battle armor and training to make credits for anyone who pays them. For ages, this group of surviving Mandalores has remained in hiding on a planet in the Outer Rim. Now, this tiny moon has seen Imperial scouts nosing about and landing supply ships. The Death Watch wants to know why. To help maintain their secrecy, they have contracted with the criminal organization known as Black Sun. The Death Watch and Black Sun mercenaries are keeping an eye, for now, on what the Empire is doing; and they're deciding how to manipulate the situation to their favor.
The Death Watch bunker is their hideout and it contains some very interesting things, including the only crafting facilities in the galaxy capable of making Mandalorian Armor. The Death Watch Bunker is a challenging new adventure zone with over 70 rooms designed for large groups to play through. It is not an instanced dungeon, but access is not as simple as just showing up to the front door. Not only is the bunker guarded by dangerous Black Sun mercenaries, but access to the bunker can only be gained by talking to the one person who might have a clue about how to sneak in. Adventurers who dare to travel to the Outer Rim, cavort with criminals and sneak into this most deadliest of places will face Black Sun assassins, mercenaries, guards, henchmen, super battle droids, battle droids, droidekas, and blastromechs. Throughout the lower levels of the bunker, players will face the Death Watch bloodguard, wraiths, and even the Death Watch themselves!
Having remained completely hidden for decades, the Death Watch will not take kindly to being disturbed and will do anything to keep their hideout hidden and their plans secret. Among the many other foes you will face in their bunker, expect to see the different types of Death Watch Warriors - - the Death Watch Bloodguard, the Death Watch Ghosts, the Death Watch Wraiths and the Death Watch Overlord!
Dangerous Allum Mines
Once inside, players will face many challenges. Mandalorian armor requires special materials so that it may be crafted. To attempt to craft this rare and exquisite armor, players will have to search the depths of the allum mines. The allum mines below the bunker are contaminated with bad air and the miner's air filtration systems are not working correctly; so players will have to find or build environmental protection masks. Although gas masks can certainly be found inside the bunker and out, players will have to go inside the bunker with an able crafter who has the correct skills to modify gas masks to filter out the deadly allum mine gas.
=> (Speculation) I think this is interesting part of continuity that might be combined with Fenn Shysas Mandalorians. Spar united the former Death Watch along new recruits to his new Mandalorians. Jango had told Boba about the Death Watch. So Boba might be looking for them and finish the revenge of his father against those who destroyed Jasters Legacy long ago. I think that way Boba met Shysas troops once and they had some nice fight but both survived and parted ways. Though, it might also be that several death watch men that didn´t join Spar during the Clone Wars still keep to Vizlas Death Watch traditions and they have nothing to do with honorful Fenn Shysa.
Another interesting information is the mandalorians temporary alliance with Black Sun! And we all know how much Fett hates Black Sun and Xizor.
from KOTOR 1 & 2:
In KOTOR the different colors meant rank. Blue was front line soldier, Red was Commander. I don't know what Gold was though, probably highter rank.
=>In Jasters groups, it looks like to me that those Mandalorians just got any color they wanted.
ENJOY, more to come!

Republic Commando: Hard Contact
is definitely on my list of things to delve into, and since I'm currently re-reading it with my girlfriend I imagine it won't be too long before I get the info in here.
Where did you get the info on the colors of the KOTOR Mandalorians? And where exactly is the Galaxies info coming from? The game itself, a website, a strategy guide, or something else? I just like to be clear on the sources
.
Thanks again!
Here's the last bit of info from the article in Insider #80:
Chariots of War
MandalMotors: Reputedly the brainchild of Mandalorian shock trooper General Gustav Zenlav, MandalMotors is famous for its vehicle designs like the Shadow V combat airspeeder, the LUX-3 landspeeder, and StarViper-class attack ship. MandalMotors was seized by the government of Mandalore late in the Clone Wars and used to develop ships exclusively for the Seperatists. Later, Imperial Advisors that had been placed on the MandalMotors executive board accumulated great power as Mandalore's people turned to them to rebuild the shattered economy. An Imperial Advisor called the Suprema also supervised Mandalore's slave colony from his City of Bone stronghold (made from the skeletal remains of Mythosaurs) until Dala and Shysa destroyed the facility.
Mandalorian Dungeon Ship: First used during the height of the Mandalorian Wars, Mandalorian Dungeon Ships were nearly 1000 meters in length and equipped with a multitude of holding cells and dropship bays. Prison cells were lined with ultradense alloys. In these roving prisons, POWs were subjected to torture and interrogation techniques, including sleep induction via gas and deprivation via shocks and sirens, and gravity variance from weightlesssness to g-force augmentation.
Pursuer Enforcement Ship: While
Slave-I
is a Kuat Drive Yards model,
Slave-II
was not. The Pursuer Enforcement Ship was a heavy patrol vehicle designed for policing Seperatist-controlled worlds. Roughly triangular, Alpha-02's Mandalorian Protectors also used the ships in their war against the Jedi. The ship is armed with twin blaster cannons, an ion cannon turret, and military-grade shield generators. Three independent thrusters make for superb manueverability. When Imperial Advisors were put on the MandalMotors executive board these ships were made available to planetary police galaxy-wide.
Mandalorian Drop Ship: Known officially as Meteor-class Q-carriers, these MandalMotors troop transports deploy from the bellies of Mandalorian Dungeon Ships and zoom towards planetary surfaces for quick disgorging of soldiers. Modeled on the facial structure of the original Mandalorian race, the ship has heavy hull plating and rotating twin blaster cannons on either side of its "snout" to ensure troop delivery. To some degree, modified Kuat Drive Yards AIAT/i starships later replaced the Q-carriers after the Mandalorian civil war caused production of the drop ship to cease.
Gladiator Assualt Fighter: FreiTek, Inc.'s Gladiator assualt fighters began seeing regular use among Mandalorians toward the end of Shysa's reign as Mandalore and into the Vong war as the shock troopers expanded their area of operations. Resembling a Rattatakian short sword stabbed to the hilt through a circular Tionian escutcheon, these one-man fighters often travel in packs of four, along with a Pursuer Enforcement Ship to which they can slave their systems for hyperspace jumps. More manueverable then E-wings and armed with four fire-linked Bovin J-3F laser cannons and an ArMek SW-12c ion cannon at its blade-like tip, a flight of converging Gladiators is a terrifying sight.
Basilisk War Droids: Looking like a cross between a Karran beetle and a Zalorian rock-lion, the Basilisk War Droids were created by the technologically minded Basiliskans, arrogant reptiloids who poisoned their own planet during the Battle of Basilisk. Afterward the Mandalorians greedily looted countless war droids. Loaded with shatter-missile launchers, laser cannons, shockwave generating rods, and heavy brawling claws, a Mandalorian on his Basilisk is a formidable foe. The war mounts are operable in atmosphere and deep space and come in a variety of specialized forms, including a stealth model and a two-seated bomber.
Mandalorian Battle Harness: First used during the New Sith Wars, and later by BL-droids in the Clone Wars, this dreaded monstrosity was designed to turn a Mandalorian into a one-man arsenal. The colossal weapons platform was equipped not only with numerous laser emplacements and an overhead blaster cannon but also with two giant appendages: one a massive clawing arm for crushing enemies and chewing into fortifications, the other an immense trip hammer for pulverizing obstacles.
Lagartoz War Dragons: The savage Lagartoz War Dragon was imported from chemically poisoned Basilisk to Mandalore just prior to the Mandallian campaign. With raking claws and a tough hide, the intelligent and easily trained beasts proved devastating in aerial and ground combat. They were also popular as pets. Many assumed the Basilisk War Droid was partly modeled on the War Dragon. That's not entirely untrue: The War Dragons
are
the Basiliskans - degenerated after Millennia to a shadow of their former intellectual glory.
Info from the picture captions
Mandalorian Mercs astride Lagartoz War Dragons and Mandalorian Battle Harnesses ambush the Dark Underlord's camp during the New Sith Wars.
Q-carriers and Pursuers deploy from a Mandalorian Dungeon Ship to liberate Gyndine from Yuuzhan Vong occupation.

RE: The Official Mandalorian Reference Guide
The Kotor color information comes from the strategy guide, I believe. I read a post elsewhere that featured a quote of the strategy guide.
And the galaxies information comes from the galaxies homepage. It is information about some locations/quests, I found when looking for Mandalorian information.

Thx, Reverend.
Nice, short and funny:
Source: KOTOR II Strategy Guide
Quote:
A Mandalore never sleeps without his ceremonial armour.
=> Now this sounds very comfortable... doesn´t it? I hope Mandalore unclothes before taking a shower, because I don´t want to know how he and his armour smells after not changing for weeks. Maybe that´s the reason we don´t see many girls around with the Mandalorians lol.
ENJOY, more to come

Star Wars: Battle of the Bounty Hunters (Pop-Up Comic Book)
Boba Fett soars through space in the
Slave-I
towards Tatooine, with the carbonite encased body of Han Solo in tow. As they approach the desert planet Boba Fett seems in good spirits as he taunts his frozen captive... At least until he spots IG-88's ship waiting for him in orbit over Tatooine. With one shot Boba blasts IG-88's ship apart, but the ease of his victory alerts him to the fact that the ship was a decoy. Another ship, identical to the first, appears and blows off one of
Slave-I's
"wings" and another IG-88 contacts Fett and demands he surrender his prisoner. Boba slams on the inertial dampers and blows the ship apart as it screams past him.
Boba finally manages to land and then start on his trek Jabba's palace, hovering hunk o' Han beside him. It turns out that the seemingly random chunk of desert he chooses to park his ship in has apparently been labeled a "restricted area" by the Empire, and Boba blows away three Stormtroopers that object to his being there before they can fire a shot.
As he approaches the palace Boba spies Bib Fortuna on some sort of balcony thing, and the Twi'lek says that Jabba is expecting Boba and that he should head to the side entrance.
Upon reaching that entrance, a large creature that looks a whole lot like a krayt dragon (
!
) erupts from the ground, but Boba manages to take it out with a single shot (
?!
). Holding Fortuna at blaster point, Boba then strongly implies that the (admittedly very guilty looking) Twi'lek somehow arranged for the krayt dragon to attack him, and orders Fortuna to take him to Jabba.
Finally arriving before Jabba with his bounty, Fett demands a bonus for "this work of art." Jabba agrees, but says that Han's friends will undoubtably come to rescue him and tells Fett that he'll get more money if he stays. Boba assures Jabba that he'll be ready.

Maybe that´s the reason we don´t see many girls around with the Mandalorians lol.
Which begs the question: what
are
women in Mandalorian society like?
Somehow I picture them as being somewhat more "traditional" if you will, than the average Star Wars female.

Mandalorian women were equal to their man. Some were traditional and farmers or mothers etc. back home, while others rose up and fought alongside their man as female Mandalorians.
female Mandalorians were mentioned in Secrets of the Jedi. one female Mandalorian assisted a group of bounty hunters. unknown if she was with spars mandlorians or a survivor of the death watch, though she seemed cruel like the death watch.

Here's Jango's mother:
Defending home and hearth weapon in hand doesn't go beyond my definition of "traditional". That was something medieval women were
expected
to do.
Of course, Mrs. Fett isn't exactly a Mandalorian, is she?
Mandalorian women were equal to their man. Some were traditional and farmers or mothers etc. back home, while others rose up and fought alongside their man as female Mandalorians.
Interesting. That's the first time I've heard of that. It seems likely though, considering what I know of Mandalorian culture.

Anybody have the New Essental Guide to Weapons and Technology? I just got it and there is mandalorian info in it about Mandalorian armour and weapons, Boba and Jangos armour, and several other weapons and weapon building companies the mandalorians bought weapons from for "a small fortune", as it tells. Will post references and quotes soon.

RE: The Official Mandalorian Reference Guide
Hey folks! Again, great resource you're building here.
A note on "Boba's"/Ailyn's code of conduct in the Young Jedi Knight novels. She has a strict adherence to the Bounty Hunter's Creed, which is distinct from the Supercommando Codex and typical Mandalorian ideology. We see Boba Fett flaunt the BHC in the Bounty Hunter Wars when he infiltrates the Bounty Hunters Guild and brings it crashing down. Again when he takes out Jodo Kast.
Keep up the great work!
Best,
Abel
