Question about Anakin's lightsaber

I read on the databank that he built it in a trance. Was this covered in a comic? If so, which one? I apologize if there is some easier method of find thing information, but I'm not aware of it if so, could someone point it out if there is?

It's covered in Jedi Quest: Path to Truth. Anakin enters the Crystal Cave of Ilum, where he is confronted by a vision of his mother being brutalized by a mysterious, shadowed creature. A vision of Darth Maul follows, which Anakin duels. Anakin rejects the dark side and Maul fades away, leaving a completed lightsabre sitting in Anakin's lap.
EDIT: This story was also made into a comic-book series of the same name.

Her name is Siri Tachi. She was Adi Gallia's Padawan, and is featured prominently in the Jedi Apprentice series when she and Obi-Wan are younger.

Was this the saber that was destroyed on Geonosis? When did Anakin construct/acquire the saber that we see used in ROTS? And, for that matter, when did Obi-Wan construct his final saber?

Yes, the one Anakin built in Jedi Quest - Path To Truth is indeed the one lost on Geonosis.
I can't say for the last two questions, and I'm curious to know myself.

Official Star Wars lore says that Obi-Wan constructed his new lightsabre upon his ascension to the rank of Jedi Master, and his seat on the Council, which is, I think, at the start of year three.
Anakin builds his second lightsabre straightaway, it would seem - or, at least after his return from Naboo. He's got a lightsabre with him in the earliest of Clone Wars stories. However, he apparently loses this one, too, and creates his RotS sabre, which is then handed down to Luke et al. Unless he just modifies his existing sabre a little....

Thanks for the info about Obi-Wan's saber. I've almost got their whole history tacked down.
One last question: When did Anakin lose his post-geonosis saber? I haven't been able to positively identify a source.
