	Isn't this fun? And note that certain things certain fans have been pining away for have now been explored officially--jerbas, the Mirgoshir campaign... The UT-AT entry was weird. One week I'm reading it as fan fiction, the next it's almost word-for-word official. Very cool...the lines are blurring. 	Here's mine for the week: It was right after the battle of Dantooine that Supreme Chancellor Palpatine noticed Jorun Kevell. This former Corellian Senator finally spoke out against Corellia's decision to stay neutral in the Clone Wars. He believed that Corellia's neutrality would only hurt the Republic, and therefore hurt the Republic. Supreme Chancellor Palpatine liked Kevell as soon as he heard what Kevell was doing. Palpatine met with Kevell and discussed with him the issues of Corellia's neutrality. The two decided to weed out the Corellian officials who wanted Corellia to remain neutral and perhaps even break away from the Republic. Kevell uncovered more than thirty Corellian politicians who were against the war and the Republic. Ten of these officials were dealt with by Palpatine himself. As the Clone Wars drew to an end Palpatine brought Kevell more power, made him one of the numerous diplomats of the Republic. After Kevell helped to dissuade the Duros people from remaining neutral in the war Palpatine invited Kevell to the Opera House to see the Squid Lake. Only a short time later Palpatine turned the Republic into the Empire. Kevell was one of Palpatine's most vocal supporters, calling the new change, "A change from corruption to order. No longer do we have to worry about alien species gaining too much power.". Due to Kevell's help, Palpatine appointed Kevell to the position of Moff, and for a while Kevell learned from Grand Moff Tarkin. However, even though Kevell was no longer on Coruscant, he still had pull with Palpatine. Kevell's eye turned toward a Chiss named Thrawn, Kevell urged Palpatine not to trust him becaus of Thrawn's alien nature. Palpatine listened and Thrawn was sent to watch over areas of little importance. Thrawn is not one to be crossed, though. Shortly after Thrawn's power began to fade Jorun Kevell was found dead in his home. Palpatine held a funeral for the Moff on Coruscant and declared him a Moff to look up to. 	I dunno- the UT-AT is actually in a movie- might be a little too unobscure for Abel's tastes Thanks Abel! ::) Now that I'm back from vacation, I can post my submission for "She's gonna blow" (which turned out pretty decent considering I compsoed it about 2 hours before I left ): Lothos Memnon This Toprawan freelanced as a freighter pilot in the early years of the Galactic Civil War and was offworld when the Empire reduced Toprawa to a pre-industrial state for their assistance in the rebels acquiring the plans to the Death Star. Seeking the liberation of his people, he managed to contact the Alliance and join their ranks. First by flying service and supply vessels for the Nebulon-A Carrier, Kalla's Stanchion, and later making his way into the starfighter corps. While serving aboard the carrier, he came to befriend an astromech, R5-2Q, which he later upgraded and had permanently assigned to his X-Wing fighter, even after he was transferred to the cruiser Maria. For the Battle of Endor, he was reassigned as a member of Red Squadron, flying under the callsign of Red 8. During the battle itself, he and Red 5 primarily defended the Yamato-Head-class corvette, Beauregarde, from enemy fighters. When the order to engage the Imperial fleet head-on was given. Lothos and his wingman did not hesitate- joining the leading attacks. A barrage of turbolaser fire from multiple Alliance cruisers converged upon the Star Destroyer Devastator during the opening assault, significantly weakening the Imperial cruiser's shields. Reds 8 & 5 seized the moment and went directly into an attack run on one of the conning tower domes, collapsing it into a firey vortex much sooner than they had anticipated. Though his proximity to the explosion damaged his fighter and sent him crashing into the rear strut of the tower, claiming his life, they were successful in dropping the Star Destroyer's bridge shields, as intended, by surging the projectors with the dome explosion. Left highly vulnerable, Memnon's sacrifice led to the Devastator's destruction, ironically at the hands of a mere Corellian Corvette.
