Heading to the Core worlds, Oicunn trained under the distinguished Arhul Holt, at the famed Anaxes Citadel. As an officer aboard the light cruiser Rothery, Oicunn participated in countless peacekeeping tours, including the subjugation of the Yinchorri uprising, rounding up Zygerrian slavers operating off Delaluna, and liberating Talorus from the vicious Force-sensitive Taloron hunters. An honourable and fair man, Oicunn was well liked by his fellow crew members, although they noted a disdain for Jedi and Force users, a result of his upbringing on Talorus. When the Clone Wars erupted, Oicunn made no effort to forge a bond with his Jedi Generals, instead preferring the company of his fellow soldiers, be they clone or otherwise. Although the Rothery was lost at T’olan, decimated by heavy turbolaser fire, Oicunn escaped and was transferred to the newly-minted Adz-class cruiser Wither. Oicunn was present at many of the great fleet battles during the Clone Wars, including Dra III, Notak, Woostri, Praesitlyn and Seylott. It was during the clash above the jungle world – an attempt to destroy a vital Separatist relay station buried in the dense foliage of Seylott – that the Jedi were declared traitors by the new Emperor. The two Jedi serving aboard the Wither, Yoshi Raph-Elan, and his Padawan Hanna Ding, attempted to hijack the cruiser in a desperate escape. Although they were able to fight their way to the bridge, Oicunn was waiting for them, managing to gun them down, thanks to a surprising display of ability and a flechette launcher. Recognised by the Emperor himself for this display of bravery, Oicunn was promoted to a position aboard the Imperial flagship, the Wennis, named for a long-dead Sith Lord. After fifteen years of loyal service to the Empire, Oicunn quietly retired to out-of-the-way Telos, a content and happy man. As some have experienced, minor details of submissions have been altered in the past if the overall story was worth preserving. It'll definitely be interesting to see what comes of it. This is the kind of judgment call source authors have to make all the time. I'd hate to suggest restrictions for anybody, because someone may have a killer story that takes into account all these sources and makes it work. And, conversely, I'd hate for anyone to think that all these threads have to be tied up in their story. You know what I mean? From my point of view, I'd rather encourage anyone to tell a cool story. Sorry if that sounds wishy washy...
