>>"the difficulty is that IIRC it's said to be like seven decades old."<<

Yeah, I was aware of it's age - I just found it to be such a slight detail that it wouldn't matter too much(oh, how the mighty have fallen, me usually such a stickler for minutae). Besides, it does stretch suspension of disbeleif a little that Gepta's still using such an old starship effectivley.

>>"But the Adz was designed a few years later"<<

That's sloppy research on my part, I'm afraid. Quick retcon - the Adz in BFC is the Adz II, or whatever, developed after GAT's death, based loosely on an earlier Clone Wars design with the same name. batting

Of course, all this only matters if I win. tongue

TOS had an old article that talked about most of the cantina aliens.
Tzizvvt
Though its head resembles that of a giant fly, this alien's production nickname was "Snail Head." According to original 1978 Lucasfilm documents, it was to have been given the proper name of Illna. This alien was part of principal photography in London, and is mostly edited out of the film, replaced with more elaborate booth aliens during the reshoots. It was largely forgotten until Decipher revealed it to be Tzizvvt the Brizzit.

It seems that most of LFL's names for the aliens were ignored. Anyone want to add an Illna explanation?

Do we have any idea where Jandoon or the Corvus Sector is or what it is near in the Outer Rim?

I'm going with Illna = alias he's using. (He is a fugitive after all.) Feel free to use that fix yourselves....

New one is up- a female Jedi seen in the Temple after the Outer Rim Sieges briefing.

here's my Tzizvvt entry, defying Cooper:

Tzizvvt

Recruited at the start of the Clone Wars, Tzizvvt severed his link to the Brizzit hivemind for security purposes and was assigned to the Mirgoshir campaign under Solomahal, Verpine Jedi General U'berill Xz't and his padawan, Gen Doleknight. His analysis of Geonosian communications proved vital to several Republic victories and earned him the friendship and respect of his superiors.

Once Mirgoshir was secure, Tzizvvt tried to return to Jandoon only to find his entire race had migrated offworld to escape the Clone Wars without him knowing, due to his disconnect from the hivemind. Hollowed by this, he returned to active duty.

He just happened to be performing a communications sweep when Order 66 was issued- horrified once clone com-chatter made it's meaning clear. A warning to his friend came just in time. His guard up, the clones could not best Master Xz't's skill and soon all that remained was a pile of clone bodies.

Tzizvvt provided the Jedi shelter on his empty homeworld, on which he hid for almost two decades, using Force illusions to scare aware intruders with haunted imagery.

However, soon the Empire caught up to Tzizvvt and now-Inquisitor Gen Doleknight offered him the location of the Brizzit for his former master. Tzizvvt gave into his despair and betrayed his friend. When Doleknight's offer was revealed to be a deception, he fled the Imperials in his shame to Tatooine, using the alias Illna.

"Illna" met with the retired Solomahal, now a freelance scout, at a cantina in Mos Eisley, seeking his help in escaping the Empire. The sudden ignition of a lightsaber startled him- had Xz't sought revenge upon his betrayer? Relief came soon when he saw it was not a Verpine holding the weapon.

Arriving on Vortex, he began adding a section to the Cathedral of Winds in Xz't's honor as he awaited his friend to return with information on the Brizzit. However, Solomahal died shortly after and Tzizvvt was tragically waiting for information that would never come.

Ooh a Jedi! Awesome.

For me Tzizvvt was the most "inspiring" of all the WTSes so far. You'd think having all those restrictions to work around would have stifled my entry, but it was quite the opposite. I could have done 6 or 8000 characters easily.

Tzizvvt

To those few who’ve heard of it, Jandoon is a deserted world of rolling plains dotted with bizarre ruins and relics of an advanced, long-vanished society. But even fewer know that in the last decades of the Republic, Jandoon also harbored a disastrously failed colony of Brizzits fleeing political reprisal on their nearby homeworld, Briznac. Shortly before the Battle of Naboo, a passing vessel happened across the ruined settlement and returned the survivors to "civilized" space. Young Tzizvvt was one of these rescuees.

11 years BBY, while remotely accessing some obscure Coruscant databanks, Tzizvvt somehow stumbled into certain 8-year-old security holos from the Senate rotunda and offices. In these tantalizing recordings--tertiary backup copies of files Palpatine had had erased--Tzizvvt discovered damning information conclusively linking the Emperor to the nefarious order of the Sith! Paranoid, Tzizvvt knew the Imperials could trace his HoloNet signal, so rather than wait for troopers to come after him he took flight.

More or less by chance Tzizvvt arrived on Tatooine--under the alias "Illna"--and for several years he felt safe. But when offworld stormtroopers under Commander Tyler Praji turned out en masse to comb the city for some lost droids, Tzizvvt decided the glare of Imperial attention was growing too bright. He would head for the little-known Centrality, an even more overlooked region.

He was in Chalmun’s Cantina booking passage with Solomahal--a Clone Wars veteran who was now a scout and charter pilot--and saw 2 ruffians pick a fight with a local farmboy and an old man, the latter wielding a lightsaber! Solomahal, who had befriended several Jedi during the war, took an interest in the proceedings, but those 2 desert dwellers left in a hurry.

When Solomahal’s ship, the QuadStar, launched the next day, Tzizvvt was aboard. His journey was without incident and he lived out the rest of his life in relative peace and quiet on Antipose IX.

--"Illna" is from that ILM archives article

--Commander Praji's first name, Tyler, dated from an offhand reference in a NJO fanfic I attempted (and never finished) long ago. Seemed like a good opportunity to try to sneak that into canon. shhh

--The Centrality and Antipose IX are from the Lando Calrissian trilogy and Gamer #5

--The QuadStar is from the Star Wars Wiki, originally from some WEG or WOTC rpg stuff

It's funny; I didn't even end up doing one. Yours was nice though, especially the ending. But doesn't his warning the Jedi of Order 66 run contrary to the intention of his appearance in Republic? It says he survived purely by skill.

I've got a great concept all ready for this Jedi...

He still survived on skill- if the Verpine hadn't managed to hold off the clone troopers, the warning would have been worthless.

Afterall, a certain coneheaded Jedi had plenty of time to react to his troopers firing on him and still couldn't beat them.
