Which was a connection I've always wanted, considering that the Sith were well established on early Arkania.

Of course, it could get tiring after a while to see all bio-engineered creatures come from Sith or Arkanian origins. We've got to have some biodiversity here, engineered as it may be. wink

So...if somebody on here gets one of their databank entries approved, does that mean that he or she gets VIP status on the boards?

:P

It makes sense as you then become an actual writer of something that is Official Star Wars.

hehe

No, because besides the influx of VIP's that would create, it wouldn't benefit regular users to have that pointed out to them as any winners don't have any guarenteed further effect on the canon.

so here's my Jedi played by Dominique Chionchio:

As generals during the Clone Wars, Jedi often led their troops from the front, often sustaining serious injuries. As the war went on, it was not uncommon to see a Jedi who had lost a limb, like Anakin Skywalker or Zule Xiss. But Tena Chiun-Chiu never felt the pain of losing a limb, only the pain of feeling different. As a result of Ord Mantell’s heavy pollution, Tena was born with only one arm, and was left at an orphanage. The head of the orphanage was glad to discover Tena’s Force potential and sent her to the Jedi Temple for training. Her Savrip Clan teachers treated her no differently than the rest but her fellow younglings recognized her difference. Some of them tried to make things easier for her, while others saw her as a liability. Tena worked hard to overcome the views of her classmates and learned to hold her own in studies and play.

A few years before the Clone Wars, Tassida Judrelle chose Tena as her apprentice. Tena developed her own fluid, yet fierce, combat style, tapping deeply into the Force to anticipate her opponent’s moves and push her opponent off-balance. Prior to the Battle of Geonosis, Tena helped Tassida break Lojrak Shrag’s smuggling ring on Cona. After the war started, Tena was assigned to lead a regiment of clonetroopers. Her unorthodox fighting style shaped her view of military tactics, which led to victories on Cadinth and Oricho. While her troops respected her unique tactics, her clone commander, Roto, could not see past her disability. In Roto’s view, someone born incomplete could never be an adequate soldier or leader. In return, Tena viewed Roto with suspicion. Near the war’s end, Tena returned to Coruscant for her promotion to Knighthood and considered taking Hera Tuix as a padawan. Re-assigned to reinforce the ground forces advancing on the Neimodian city of Koto-Si, Tena was not surprised when Roto tried to carry out Order 66. Having judged her only by her appearance, Roto died without firing a shot and Tena Chiun-Chiu escaped.

Ord Mantell - Savrip clan? hmmm..
Zule from Republic, Tassida and Lojrak came from the holonet, Hera Tuix from Y:DR

was i the only person who thought she looked one-armed?

Pablo: " FYI: The next round of winners is slated to run on Nov 18... a little later than usual, but we want to make sure they make their proper run through the approvals gauntlet.

Upcoming WTS will include "technology" and "location" type entries, and there will be a few non-movie characters coming in December, but the focus will always be predominantly movie-based."

shhh

New one is up- another CCG character! w00t! E-3PO. That'll be real fun ::)

Here's my Wol submission I managed to whip up at the last minute (again):

Wol Cabbashite

Originating from parasites within the damp forests of Xagodeku, these sentient, nerve-cluster-dense Mollusks typically grow as large as two to three feet in length.

Slow moving, they generally attach to a moist, rocky surface for long periods of time, allowing small rodent and insect prey to wander within range of a prehensile tongue- which itself usually exceeds the length of the actual body.

The tongue is capable of releasing small, incapacitating electrical charges on such prey. Additionally, the appendage functions as a giant lung- absorbing oxygen directly through it into the bloodstream while filtering out most toxins.

Two eyes, enhanced by two small olfactory (and electro-sensitive) feelers, provide a keen sense of awareness of it's surroundings, as well as accuracy finding prey.

However, the Wol Cabbashite's evolved symbiotic nature allows them to attach to (and control) other native, dialogen-saturated species, allowing them to gain nutrition directly from their host.

These hosts are generally not sentient and span a wide variety of lifeforms, including common cephlopods (creating the Wol Dukay), simians (Wol Godin), canines (Wol Kallacks) and elasmobrancephalos (Wol Bouri). With such hosts being more mobile, it allowed the Wols to spread offworld.

In exchange for the mobility and nutrition provided by their hosts, most Wols will return to Xagodeku to release their host once they are done with them- replacing the dialogen with organelles that extend their former hosts natural lifespan considerably.

A biological attraction to electricity drew large numbers of Wols to Coruscant, though they can be found on a variety of different worlds (many stranded after their host dies unexpectedly).

Their innate curiosity and ability to store great amounts of knowledge is passed on genetically to their offspring. Though they can regenerate large portions of their body if injured or maimed, the stored memories in the lost nerve clusters cannot be replaced.

notes:

-I made sure it had a heavy oxygen intake, as well as a connection to dialogen; to explain their high-suceptibility to Brainrot from HNN.
-I went with the symbiote approach, explaining how they could get about more easily, as well as how one could function as a Jedi Master. I tried to make it different from a Goa'uld and other parasitic type sci-fi races by making the connection to it's hosts more of an ecosystem thing with local species better adapted to be hosts.
-I tried to imply that the Wol would take on a last name based on the species it's host was (so the Wol Cabbashite named Omo, for example, attached itself to a Bouri, thus creating Omo Bouri- whereas Ghoel only had one name since he was an unattached Wol) as well as the "Wol" prefix added to the base host species name (Wol Cabbashite + Dukay = Wol Dukay).
-The electrical attraction helps explain why there population would be so great on Coruscant so as to create aserious problem from Brainrot, as well as why it would try to lick 3PO.
-The whole nerve cluster thing adds to how they are more intelligent than others believe.
-"Elasmobrancephalos"= Sharktopus mischief cool

I don't know what the hell a sharktopus is, but otherwise, very nice. I love the naming stuff. I'm glad I didn't end up doing one; you should get it.

Thanks.

Sharktopus= Shark+Octopus. Fictional creature, so far as I'm aware- a Shark head on the body of an octopus; a fearsome image, hehe, perfect for Saesee Tiin's master (well, Sharktopus+Wol slug attached= fearsome and icky looking all at the same time! devil ) Got the "elasmobrancephalos" description by combining the shark's subclass "elasmobranchii" with the octopus class "cephalopoda".

I didn't submit anything for the Wol. I was going down the Goa'uld/Facehugger type route, and I kept grossing myself out before I could get very far. wink

E-3PO: Meh. Not a great entry, not a terrible one. It seems a little limiting, considering we know what type of droid he is, but I should be able to whip up something.

Sharktopi is just what we need. In fact maybe you can go as far as to develop an entire taxonomy for all the creatures and beings of the galaxy (what a job that would be). grin

Oh hello Valin.
