starwars.com updates on the content of Insider #83, which will include a top 20 EU moments feature. (It also mentions there'll be 5 moments fans would like to forget).
It'll also include a short story sequel to Medstar titled "Medstar: Intermezzo" by Perry and Reaves, with ullustrations by Randy Martinez.

#1 EU moment fans would like to forget: Palpatine's resurrection. 
I liked the Medstar novels, so I'm looking foward to the short story.

Sorry, have to tie everything back to that, seems like...
Sounds good. Nice that they name-check "Duel With a Dark Lady" as one of the Major EU Moments, but this bit has me curious:
Covering over 20 years of publishing set in over 20,000 years of timeline, these events are the signature moments of the richly diverse expanded universe -- the kind avid readers use to hook curious non-reader Star Wars fans into taking their first steps into this larger world.
 The hell? Something relating to the post-Xendor millennia, maybe? Thinking that might be a tad too "obscure." Probably simply nothing more than a typo, though... "25,000 years," and nothing prior to 5,000 BBY. Appears that more on the "Best/Worst Moments" will be Hyperspace-enabled.

We all know there's going to be one; would anyone care to guess which moment from Glove of Darth Vader will make the "worst five"?
A new short story, a new Abel article, and new Joe illustrations...it's gonna be a good issue.

How bout that part where the Emperor fathered a son with a third eye mounted on the back of his head? Or when Luke discovered a gigantic underground city that the Alliace managed to TOTALLY miss when they chose the world as thier HQ.
Seriously, there are few series that make such a strong argument for not accepting everything in the EU. 
Oddly enough, wasn't there a thread around here dealing with top EU moments?

Surely one of the top five worst moments starts when IG-88 processes this thought through his droid brain: "Hey, that second Death Star looks pretty funky. I bet all sorts of wacky and hilarious japes would ensue were I to upload myself into it....!"

I would imagine that at least 1 of the 5 moments fans would like to forget will include something from GoDV. Perhaps Lahsbees from Marvel . . . a pre-Ewok furry alien.
I used to subscribe to Insider also, until subscription prices rose to be MORE expensive than the newstand price. Not really understanding that one . . . .

rogue_wookiee, I'd guess by the Intermezzo subtitle it would take place in the middle. Most likely in the gap between Battle Surgeons and Jedi Healer.
