karabbackilla posted:Just read end notes 3 and 4, and I am chomping at the bit to read 'The making of Qymaen jai Sheelal'! I can't wait to see which real life 'characters'/and or events contributed to his identity. Personally, I see a little Pancho Villa in Qymaen, but thats just me, I'm weird.
karabbackilla posted:Anyway...do you think there will ever be a comic series or graphic novel type thing that adresses the huk/kaleesh conflict? Gods, that would be sweet, and would give us Grievous/kaleesh fans something else to sink our teeth into.
karabbackilla posted:I keep my G-love alive by drawing, and right now I am trying to figure out the logistics of a backwards swimming shoni!! I'm thinking a rudder or second tail on the front of it, but my mind is still wrapping around a bunch of differant concepts!
karabbackilla posted:Oh, and my million dollar question.. please somebody answer it if you can! Why do the kaleesh have blank eyes and Grievous has reptilian pupils? I sure hope those pupils are not the 'implants' he was given when cyborgized!
Biddybot posted:Personally, I just go with the eyes I like best myself, those smouldering golden slit-pupiled ones, and pretend the other version was just artistic license. I just don't like the look of Grievous when he's 'blank-eyed'...it makes him look too much like a sick chicken.
Biddybot posted:Ah, Halagad Ventor... To paraphrase Yoda's words to Padme in TPM, your words reference Grievous being in the upcoming new Clone Wars series ignites a warm feeling in my heart. Still scheduled to premiere in the fall of 2008, right? And it's going to be CGI animation? I for one am glad about that. Said it before and I'll say it again...Grievous is an ideal CGI subject and I really hope that the folks who'll work on him will be given time enough to have a little fun with him. I want to see that guy MOVE this time! Besides looking forward to his further adventures, I'm also already curious about whether Grievous will be reinterpreted yet again, whether as a character or perhaps visually...I'm always especially open to different artistic versions of a character I like since IMO that just means a better chance of seeing something that's exactly to your liking rather than just kinda neat-looking. I have a suspicion that since your own work on the character came out that he's being perceived as more of a tragic villain than the somewhat goofy, eee-vil kids' villain he was in ROTS, someone deserving of a bit more sympathy than he once was, albeit only because the reasons behind his viciousness are now more comprehensible. Goodness knows whoever wrote the character blurb for the new Titanium Series Grievous figurine as posted over on the starwars.com site must think quite highly of the guy--it's so flattering that they HAVE to be either a fanboy or fangirl and makes me hope they have a hand in writing any Grievous scenes in the scripting for the upcoming animated. For sure, somebody's gotta write in Grievous ordering the bombardment of Humbarine--that would make for a great visual! I'd also enjoy a whole episode or story arc devoted to the battle for Duro, a good chance to showcase Grievous's supposed military genius, and at least a mention of his using biological weaponry. That Loedorvian brain plague thing, for example...heh, bet it wouldn't have affected Jar Jar, though... (What? Insult who? Not me! )
kecen posted:Eh, since Grievous has Anakin parallels, can Ronderu be like Obi-wan instead of Padme? I just don't see her spewing out romance. Plus Qymaen was pretty much "apprenticed" from what I can deduct :X
kecen posted:This is just a cheap ploy to act all opinionated because I don't want a female character who is overtly reliant on male protection.
kecen posted:Well on the positive side I forgot to tell you I like the wig thing because it can cover one eye and remind me of....something XD
