In the first part of the Battle of Jabiim, Republic #55, pages 15-17 feature a brown-haired, female, Jedi General. On page 17 she gets stabbed in the back by Alto Stratus. I was just wondering if this JEdi had a name, and if so, anyone knew it.

Check TUCWS- I'm not sure if we have a bio for her or not. I think that we do have a name, but I'm not sure that I remember it.

General Leska, I think it was.

No, that was in the last issue, this one is in the first. Let me go and look back through those issues when I get a chance

I was wondering that... it looked as if she could not have survived, but has a striking resemblance to Leska. Maybe Aubrie was able to heal her?

Whoops, yeah, you're right. General Leska got shot after the sun came out -- the one we're talking about was the one trying the de-mud that AT-TE right before Ventress gimps Kenobi.

Nothing specifically requires her to die -- we only see Stratus grab her, then get driven off. Since we don't see a blade sticking out of her chest, she could have survived. Since Stratus isn't an idiot, however, that makes it highly unlikely that he didn't stab her before he starts gloating. We just don't get to see proof of death.

The acceptance of others is not a guarantee. Like everyone else, a Jedi is accepted or not based on his behavior. The Jedi who believes that he is more important than others only demonstrates that his opinion is to be ignored.

She's always reminded me of that Elf Jedi chick who died in Blast Radius. There's one frame where they look almost identical.

Dramatic license, though -- the real purpose of the story was to put Anakin in an untenable postion where he and he alone would become the sole ranking Jedi left on Jabiim, thus necessitating her demise in that scene.

Alto Stratus carving a swath through the masters' ranks was a key storytelling component in all of this, which points to a definite authorial intent for a final death.

Oh, I agree she ought to be dead -- but I'm just saying we can't prove it. She could be the one who dies later and still leaves Anakin ranking. Or the artist could just draw people who all look similar. I hate that.

they were twins....

hmm.. actually, makes me wonder.. what would the Jedi Order do with twins who both exhibit force abilities... with the whole breaking-down-family-attachment-thing, would they let siblings know of their relationship? the twin bond thing seems pretty important in the later eras...

I don't know of very many Padawans who were generals. That seems to have been reserved for the Knights and Masters. And just before Stratus attacks her, we see one of the walker pilots talking to her about calling down gunships. He does refer to her as general.

Does Haden Blackman read and/or post on these boards or the boards over at DH? I figure if so, we could go straight to the source and ask him since he wrote it and all.

Yeah, they let them know.

Case in point: Echuu Shen Jon had a padawan, Stam Reath - he's killed at Geonosis. The Council gives him a new padawan - Naat Reath.
