Fuedal takeover in progress, good work, NJOfan. The landlords sunset, grifters rise. National service? How's he supposed to delight in the tallying of amalgamated numerals . . . wait a Mando, this thread could be infested with hardcoverians.
I'll know you all! Please indicate if it was read or bought. I have . . . tallies of my own. Uh, gardens to pedicure.

My utilisation of complex locution to ask what's more pathetic, fans who worship their movie actors, or the actors who couldn't give a damn, is more a reflection of my own superincumbent mental actuity than any circumscribed lexicon. Don't you agree?

I give it a 7.5. Good, but not nearly Zahn's best work. It had the feeling of trying to resolve way too many issues (Car'das's origins, Thrawn's discovery, Outbound Flight, the Vagaari, the Vong, etc.). I also disliked the way C'Baoth was characterized, but I don't know if I can post spoilers, so I'll leave it at that.

Well, this is a popular book.
Or people are waiting for Mas.
Is this a spoiler thread?
EDIT Beaten, typical.

9.5/10
Awesome stuff. On its own terms, in terms of the extended Zahnon, and in terms of the wider way that all Star Wars works, from the Prequel era to the current trends... this was great
Coming so soon after DN3, what struck me in the end wasn't the contrast of style and tone, but the fact that both novels are saying ultimately the same thing about the same Galaxy in such utterly different ways...

This was just a fantastic book and it reaffirmed my faith that Zahn is the premier SW writer. Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys good SW or just a good book in general. 10/10

9. I liked Jorus's characterization (I didn't think I would), but this book is still on the track of 'redeeming' Thrawn. And while it's done subtly enough not to be too annoying (it was so blatant before), the flaw is there. No Mara cancels a lot of that out, IMHO. Nice to see Zahn's back to form, on this at least. Not too thrilled about his next book, though.
Also, Zahn only gave us three new Chiss names, which isn't nearly enough for the naming patterns argument.
