Also, I think there was a brief note about female jedi remembering their births? I don't remember where though.

That was Etain commenting that rumor went that female jedi could sense when they themselves became pregnant, and that it was true.

I'm betting you're wrong, Ex... I'm betting it will be set right at the time of Order 66, with all that that entails. Lots of angstiness headed our way if I'm right, too. grin

EDIT: oh, yeah, and I'm going to pick it up today most likely.

And here's a thought for you: the X-Wing books were basically game tie-ins, especially when they first started coming out. Yet not a one of those characters is in any way related to the games. How does that square? And do we have an issue with the fact that they're not? Quite the opposite, I'd say, for at least a simple majority of the people who are on these boards.

True. But on the other hand, for all intents and purposes, the X-Wing games really didn't have either plots or characters. Keylander's scrapbook and the largely background Azzameens aside, the games pretty much consisted of a bunch of dogfights strung together by Ackbar giving you briefings on the next dogfight. Even the TIE Fighter games had more story, thanks to Zaarin and Thrawn's counter-plotting. RC had a defined plot that not only tied into AOTC/ROTS but also expanded on its own, not to mention several well-developed characters.

Oh, not this again. She's writing LOTF, with plenty of characters she didn't create.

Do we know that? So far, all we know for certain is that her books will include lots of Boba Fett (which she'll be free to treat as her own character and develop as she like, since so many others have done the same to him), and that her first book has Lumiya in it.

We also know that she's writing Han in Bloodlines. And there's no way she'd be writing one of three hardcovers in a nine-book series that wouldn't include main characters. Also, she's briefly talked about the interest/challenge of doing so either on her blog or on SW.com or someplace. It's been a while since I read the place where she said it, but say it she did.

eh, Me im figuring on KT giving us one more book before Order 66.. ROTS was what 36 ABG, RC:HC was right after, RC:TZ is 12 ABG, so that would have RC:?? at 24 ABG, and RC:O66 at 36 ABG..

That's what I meant, Keralys. The next Repcom book will be during the Order 66 period. I wouldn't be surprised to see it in another year.

Well we know one author that took the "60 is the new 40" literally.

Page 127
"But he was about sixty standard years-just middle aged-..."

Hmmmm

Actually, we know of at least two, because Leia's comments to Han in DN are of a very, very similar nature - she gives him another fifty or sixty years if he takes care of himself, and he's in his sixties there, so what does that tell you? It tells me the crew writing Legacy has a common view of this, and interestingly it seems to have a certain degree of contradiction to the view held by the folks behind LEGACY. thinking

Eh, doesn't mean much of anything. Most dictionary definitions of middle age on Earth push it up to 60 or 65. I know of at least one study about age perception - a majority of people in their 60s consider themselves middle-aged, and 40% of people in their seventies.

And with Traviss, there's also that retired clonetrooper quoted in Hard Contact at the biological age of 60 (chronological 23).
