I was thinking the same thing, Rogue, about a Japanese Manga reference. In the story, Vader secretly trains an apprentice named Tao. Perhaps, if we're lucky, Abel will oblige us with a reference of some sort (even if it was small, like in Lord of War). praying

Hey folks! Just wanted to drop in and say a quick hello. You can find some scattered hints about this project in my author's thread and the Lady Lumiya's Disciples thread in the EU Community. happy

You don't know how close to the mark you are, SBD. I originally pitched this for the Ultimate Vader Guide, but LFL and IDG decided they wanted to keep the book more focused on the films. (Same reason you don't see the Azure Angel or Jabitha in the ships section). When Insider got a new editor, he decided he wanted to go forward with this project.

Take care,
Abel

Another article written by Pena. Always good news.

I wonder what we'll find out this time? Ah, I know, that Vader had a base on Cybertron and that the Autobot vs Decpticon war was started by him.

I knew it all along, but know body believed me.

Are you in the mood for any further Star Wars Galaxies references, Abel?

The Emperor's Retreat on Naboo is just BEGGING for an explanation, as well as the Jedi village of Aurilia wink

The Retreat article doesn't have a picture? That's sort of silly--I'll have to pull a screenshot from SWG and fix that.

Nay, I say! The Empire is victorious on all fronts! talk_hand wink

Abel, is there any chance of a web enhancement with this article, too? grin

I think it's meant to be more like a holiday retreat more than anything, though it's equipped for the capability of running the Empire remotely. I like to believe it was Palpy's place of residence on Naboo before he moved to Coruscant grin

If we were to take Star Wars Galaxies literally, then Palpy and Vader actually hung out on Naboo for the duration of the entire Galactic Civil War silly

BTW, Emperor's Retreat is also featured in Star Wars Galaxies: Ruins of Dantooine, though negative reviews have put that book very low on my "to read" list.

I think the Emperor's Retreat might be more of a Palpatine's Legacy-type thing though. Vader has his own interesting retreats, such as Bast Castle, his Coruscant residences, etc.

Read the free excerpt on the publisher's site, and you'll see a good glimpse of it. happy
