	So, it seems that the covers for Legacy of the Force are going to be following this character portrait pattern that the first three have established: Jacen on Betrayal; Boba Fett on Bloodlines; Tenel Ka on Tempest. So who do we want getting the portrait treatment on the remaining six covers? I'm gonna start us off with a list of candidates, and why they're listed. Likely Candidates: Ben Skywalker: A "Legacy" if they're ever was one. Jaina Solo: Jacen got a cover and she's his twin sister, so why shouldn't she get one as well? Not to mention I suspect they'll be using her as a juxtaposition to her brother in this series, being that they are twins, and he may be going dark. Luke Skywalker: He's Luke Freakin' Skywalker! 'Nuff said. Han Solo & Leia Organa: Two-thirds of the Big Three. Having them on the same cover would be a nice touch since they've been more or less inseparable since Anakin's death. Wedge Antilles: With Aaron Allston having two books to go, this one is very possible. Hey, Traviss got to put her obsession on a cover. Lumiya: Our big villianess should, by rights, make an appearence on one of the covers. (Less) Likely Candidates: Mara Jade Skywalker: Mother of a Legacy and wife of one of the Big Three. And she's always cut a nice figure with her red hair and spy-suit look. Darth Jacen: Sure, he already got one, but it might be nice to see him Sithified on a later cover. A good choice might be the middle book, Sacrifice, since the middle should be the black-hole point of the series when all seems lost, not to mention the fact that "Sacrifice" seems to be pretty well set up as a major theme for Jacen after the scenes with Lumiya in Betrayal. You could also put him on the end, to bookend the series with Jacens, but that wouldn't be very hopeful for the outcome of the series, now would it? Zekk: Jacen's S.O. gets a cover, why not Jaina's as well. Thracken Sal-Solo: For a character who keeps turning up so much, there just aren't enough depictions of Bizarro Han. But he probably won't have time to earn a cover spot before Jacen fries him with Sith lightening, (oh, please let him fry!). Saba Sebatyne: The old sisser hasn't made an appearence yet, but, then, Troy Denning hasn't contributed yet. You can rest assured she'll turn up. And, again, if Traviss gets to spotlight a Mando with a cover spot... Artoo & 3PO: Sure, the droids have been marginalized in recent years, but they've been there all along, providing comic relief. I think they've earned a cover appearence. I'm fairly certain they haven't had one since early Bantam. (Not Bloody) Likely Candidates: Tahiri Veila: Hey, maybe they can try not to make her look like a neanderthal woman this time. Thann Mythric: C'mon, a Falleen Jedi? He'd make a cool cover. But it won't happen. Thann just isn't important enough to the story line.. unless Jacey-boy decides to make him a Sith Apprentice! Lt. Kettch: You can never be sure when Allston's involved... 	You know, I pretty much agree with you on all but one. Wedge. Consider the marketing: Betrayal - Ohhhh a Jedi! With a dark background! What's going on with that dude? I must find out! Bloodlines - Ohhhh everyone's favorite bounty hunter Boba Fett! He didn't get eaten by the Sarlaac?? I must find out! Tempest - Ohhhh a Jedi! With 1.5 arms! How the heck did that happen? I must find out! I couldn't see Wedge generating as much amazing excitement as all that. Ohhhh an... old guy? Grinning? What is that, a modified X-wing behind him? I don't understand... brain... depowering... I'd rather have Kyle Katarn take his spot Imagine it, Kyle with a lightsaber, shoulderpad, 12 guns strapped to him, and stormtrooper pieces all over him. It'd be the most amazing cover ever. 	Ah, my dear Boba, but you forget that Wedge had a NJO cover already, (Rebel Dream), and held it down rather nicely, I think. And fans of the series know and love him. He's Boba Fett-esque that way. Katarn's a good idea, but since the novel authors seem to ignore him, (the only NJO book he made an appearence in was TUF, which wasn't authored by any of the ones working on LotF), I'd file that under (Not Bloody) Likely. Your beard comment got me thinking, though... What if Luke takes into account Jacen's comment to his force projection that "you look good with a beard", (which Luke heard as "you'd look good with a beard")? Luke... WITH A BEARD?!?!?!?!?! 	My view EXILE - Han and Leia SACRIFICE - Luke and Mara and one will be the sacrifice, if only because if they were going to kill off Han or Leia they would probably get Denning to do it since he writes them so well. BOOK 6 - Jaina and whoever she ends up with (most likely Zekk, although Jag and Kyp are both possibilities) - It's because of Denning that these two are together now so it makes sense BOOK 7 - Wedge (or Syal if her role increases greatly) BOOK 8 - Lumiya BOOK 9 - Ben Skywalker edited to keep all Jaina/random-green-eyed-man shipers happy -----signature----- "It is your choice," Saba said ."This one does not think it will interfere with our peace deal.
