They are.

A dialectic written similar to Plato's Republic, which sees senior masters of the New Jedi Order sit down and discuss the Force for 400 pages. Written by Stover.
I'd pretty much piss my pants from the sheer awesomeness.

Meh, I'd rather read Xim's primer on military strategy than some force-philosophy hooey.

Nah, Tao Te Ching's cooler than The Art of War.

Speculation is that much more interesting because this is a hardcover. The subject matter has got to be important --- hardcovers aren't like in the Bantam Era, when Planet of Twilight and The Crystal Star were hardcovers. happy

Cough cough Tatooine Ghost cough.

Also: The Cestus Deception, Survivor's Quest, Outbound Flight, Rogue Planet, Shatterpoint, and Allegiance.

Shatterpoint and Outbound Flight seem to be loved by most people.

And the only Del Rey-era hardcover I've actually hated is Balance Point. Just so useless and empty.

Oh, several of the titles (EDIT: well, okay, just the two you mentioned) I listed are cracking good reads. They are not, however, terribly important books.

Too true. I guess it's actually pretty rare that a one-shot isn't a hardcover. Dark Rendezvous is the only one that comes to mind --- Bantam or Del Rey --- and it could be argued that it was part of the Clone Wars series.

Also, every Timothy Zahn book is a hardcover. happy So cross those off your list!

Maybe it will be an Andeddu novel, and Andeddu is the first bonafide ex-Jedi Sith Lord. That's be interesting.

I'd rather hear about Ruin myself, though, but only if Abel had a hand in it.

What it will most likely be is that rumored book about Plagueis the Wise (Sidious' master). However, here are my hopeful votes besides Plagueis:

-Kol Skywalker (awesome character, but as much as I wish, I know this won't happen)

-Darth Nihilus would be interesting but most likely will be told/covered in the KOTOR comics

-Darth Revan (leading up to opening of KOTOR)

The Plagueis book has been confirmed, so its not that.

The Plagueis-centric novel isn't a rumor: it's been announced as the 2008 hardcover, to be written by Jim Luceno.
