Question for Abel:

Abel, you established Orloc as one of the Imposter Prophets...

Does this mean there was a real Orloc as well (like Kadann and Jegdar) or was Orloc's the imposter/Imperial agent's actual name, and the Prophet he was impersonating someone else entirely?

PS: I guess I should also mention, Vader's glove was retconned. It's not the actual glove that is indestructible, Vader took one of Kaans indestructible gauntlets and sort of put his glove over it or something like that...

No...it was a Mandalorian crushgaunt over one of Kaan's indestructible amulets. That's what the article says.

Here is the quote, regarding the prophets and that stuff.

"They determined to bestow Emperorship on whomever secured the glove of the dead Darth Vader's severed right hand -- a Mandalorian crushgaunt which Vader had fitted around one of Lord Kaan's indestructible Sith amulets."

And the wookiepedia entry for the glove

Seems to me like they're talking about the same thing....

Ah...reading it, I only see this:

Boc learned all that he could about these heroes, such as how the invincible Tott had battled hordes of darksiders in the Old Sith Wars, or how Newar of the Nercathi clan led the Third Legion of Light to victory at the cost of his own life in one of Ruusan's seven battles, his pyre ashes crystallized and shaped into three idols in his likeness. Gifted with a rare power, Boc used the Force to read the impressions from these idols and access fragments of Newar's memory. Boc was fascinated by the grisly images he saw of Jedi victory at Malrev IV and Ruusan, and he felt more determined than ever to become a Jedi warrior.

Well:

1) It has Newar being at Ruusan.
2) It has Boc reading fragments of Newar's memory.
3) It has Boc seeing Ruusan and Malrev IV.

It seems pretty obvious what the intention was there.

I was correcting your misreading that the glove of Darth Vader was one of Kaan's gloves. It was no such thing.

Hmm....even though Malrev Iv supposeably came from Newar Forrth's memory, it's not concrete that he fought there. Newar may simply have studied the battle.

Force visions are unreliable things, after all...

I still say it makes more sense for there to have been more than one battle fought there. Especially if it was a major Sith stronghold, and the Dark Underlord's forces stille xisted after his assassination.

Oh... right.

Well....hey I noticed you placed the image of Adas in the wiki, but I must admit I'm not sure if it's him. Mainly because of the lightsaber, but I dunno, he seems to be the best candidate.

Innocent until proven guilty then grin

The image might seem like a good candidate for Adas, but if I remember correctly: isn't the caption "...and some of them, I'm afraid to say, were Jedi" or something like that?

Hey Charlii. I actually posted a response over at the wiki tongue . But what the hell:

Sauron18 posted:
Aside from it being an armor basically identical to the one described, a time period identical, and coming from the same source (Ood Bnar's Holocron) seems to point out that this is Adas. It would be extremely coincidential if it wasn't, but we're going for an "innocent until proven guilty" sort of thing, since in all probability it is him.

It's sort of like with Xendor's image. It is also probable that the whole "Black Armor" is meant to imply that this Sith ARmor was the one DV's was based one.

No offence... But "meant to" and "imply" isn't really relevant to canon.

No canon source have identified the picture as Adas, and thus we can't say it's him.

More pressing is the matter of why there is, what looks like, a human lying next to him. Logically, Adas would have never encountered a human before.

EDIT: I've amended the Behind the Scenes and picture caption to indicate while the pic may be Adas, it has not be canonically established 100% that it is.

Cool article.

Simply, if the will of the Force demands balance, then evil can never die.

Okay, that's going in the sig. Sums up why I think the Jedi are idiots for 'serving the Force'.

Ok, I've read the blasted thing and all I can say is: applause This article is awesome, in that it just packs in so much stuff and (partially, at least) ties up so many things (the Prophets, Lumiya's holocron, ancient Sith history, etc.)

Abel, tell your editor that this type of article is why I keep my Hyperspace subscription, not that breezy stuff in that last Insider.

Oh, and I like the N'Gai reference from the original EGtC.
