	Dark Times Announcement Randy Stradley posted: "For over a thousand generations the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic, before the dark times . . ." —Ben Kenobi We told you we still had a few cards up our sleeves. Well, here's another. Beginning in October, Dark Times will debut. Like Rebellion, it will be a series of miniseries, leapfrogging on the schedule with with Rebellion. The first arc of Dark Times is titled "The Path to Nowhere," and is written by Mick Harrison from a plot by Welles Hartley, illustrated by Douglas Wheatley, and colored by Ronda Pattison (who colored Doug's work on "Purge"). The story begins in the days following the events in "Purge," and intertwines itself with some of the events in Jim Luceno's novel "Dark Lord." Here's the official solicitation copy as it will appear in Diamond Previews: Quote: The dark times are here. Even as the worlds of the former Republic are drawn into the iron grip of Palpatine’s Empire, the galaxy seems adrift in a sea of chaos, lawlessness, and despair. On Coruscant, Darth Vader waits for his Master to reveal his vision for the future. But is there a plan beyond obtaining power? On New Plympto, Jedi Master Dass Jennir leads a Nosaurian army in a war they have already lost. Is this what in now means to be a Jedi? Dark Times #1 is the gateway to a new era in Star Wars history, an era where the future is grim, evil is on the rise, and all paths seem to lead nowhere… Sounds like this is the continuation of Republic. 	Hell yeah! To clarify the publishing schedule: Randy Stradley posted: We'll publish an entire arc of Rebellion, then an arc of Dark Times, the an arc of Rebellion, and so on. 	Wonder where Palpatine is in that second image? Doesn't look like any of his offices or throne rooms we've seen so far. 	LOL, well it reminds me too of a P-90. Wouldnt be the first time we see something from Stargate slipping into the GFFA. 	This is awsome! This is the series I've been waiting for (and expecting for quite some time )! I suppose it's too early to dream that Palpatine's office is in Imperial Palace though ...right? Annyway, it is very cool just seeing the mix of PT and OT characters. Vader, Palpatine and Pestage, along with Mas Amedda on PT Coruscant! nerdgasm Plus we get to see more of Legola... erm... Das! Curse you Dark Horse for making such cool products that I can't resist the urge to buy them! I've just read Dark Lord and thought there's a lot of potential in that sort of timeframe (and I think Palpatines great).
