	Excellence posted: Forgive me! I completely forgot . . . The biggest of them all . . . Dark Empire's prologue scrawl says "within days of Thrawn's defeat" the Imperials assaulted Coruscant . . . and yet Isard's Revenge begins right afterward. I'm not satisfied at the 4yrs of explanations I've gotten. The writing is right there. How can anything explain it? Good luck!! de, de2,and ee had problems within themselves. 	Here's a theory I came up with last September: >>> During her time as The Emperor's Hand, Mara had a purple lightsaber - and I think I know just where it came from... ...it's actually made from parts of Mace Windu's lightsaber! When Mace loses his saber (and his hand), the weapon either falls out of the window. When elite clones are sent to retrieve Palpatine's saber (that's why he has it again when he's dueling Yoda, btw), they accidently fetch Windu's saber first... Clone Captain #1: We found your lightsaber, Your Highness. Palpatine: Ah, excellent... what's that? I told you mine was red, not purple! >bzzzt< Palpatine: Clone Captain #2, return to street level immediately and bring me my saber! Clone Captain #2: As you wish, Your Highness. Palpatine then takes the saber apart and gives the crystal to Mara. The purple color makes it look reminiscent of a red Sith saber without actually being a red Sith saber (showing her affiliation and her inferiority to the Sith at the same time), and to top it off, it's also a great insult towards Mace Windu to make his uber-saber into an assasin's weapon. Boy, I guess Mace would have had real anger management issues had he been kept a Force Ghost by the Whills. That is, IF there isn't something else surrounding the sudden disappearance of the Senior Jedi Council member... but I'll keep that theory for another time... raised_brow <<< I guess now the time has come to also reveal the theory of what really happened when the Senior Jedi Council member was thrown out of the window... Remember, Yoda does not react to this action. He reacts to the christening of Vader and to Order 66 being carried out, but not to Mace's death. This is because... Mace didn't die! When he was thrown out of the window, he landed on some passing freight speeder. Unconscious, he was transported off to a ship that actually went to a small planet far away from the center of the galaxy... There, he awoke with total amnesia, not remembering the Jedi, the Republic or the Sith, but with a total craving to give the people a stable society based on democratic principles. He became... ... THE MAYOR OF SERNPIDAL! I'm sure I had another really big retcon idea some weeks ago, but I can't remember what it was... maybe I'll come up with it again in time... BTW, does LOTF's portrayal of Vergere count as an entry in the RetCon Week? -----signature----- Jacen had learned that one can meet the Universe [...] with fear, or with hatred, or with despair. Or one can choose to meet it with love. Jacen had chosen. But still, he was astonished to discover that the Universe could love him back.

Although, IIRC, GL has stated that Mace did in fact perish immediately after being tossed out the windu - but we won't let that spoil our fun

	Here's one that Jaymach_RalTir came up with over the wookieepedia IRC just now (too small for its own thread): As everyone knows, there was a potato among the asteroids in the Hoth system in ESB. Maybe you thought that was just a behind the scenes joke from the modelmakers at ILM? Wrong!
