Great writer.
X-wing: The Phantom Affair
and
Jedi vs. Sith
are two of my favorite comics.

I really liked Jedi vs. Sith, and I think a lot of it has to do with how he covered the outline of Lucas' ideas while also actually integrating a lot from Dark Forces: Jedi Knight, bringing it into one cohesive story. Although I do wish he had covered more of the DF characters, like Tal and LaTor, who were made as being pretty important in the battle.
But other than that, I can't say I've really liked any of his other works.

Absolutely love every SW story he's done. Even Vader's Quest. And Lady Luck? Brilliant.

Phantom Affair was excellent, my second SW comic. The dialogue was fun, and side from the warp weapon thing and incorrect Headhunter illustration, the Interdictor-interfering arrival was well done.
What are his other stories?

What's fan feeback like for Vader's Quest? No one really talks about it here.

Most people don't like it very much. The art is by Dave Gibbons, who's a genius, but done in a stripped down style that attempts to mimick people like Carmine Infantino and Russ Manning. The story is quite good, but made a bit redundant by the Marvel series.

I've never liked Dave Gibbons' art. When I first read Watchmen it was almost enough to make me want to reconsider, although thankfully I didn't.
Vader's Quest was humdrum at the best. The best parts for me were the fact that it included an interdictor star destroyer (no doubt because of The Phantom Affair) and one shot of the Imperial Palace is a direct recreation of the Ralph McQuarrie ROTJ-concept art.

I liked it--the cam droid was pretty funny, and the scenes with Vader were well done.

It's not incorrect--it's just a later model then what we're used to seeing. See how the engines are split along the S-foils? That's from a piece of ANH concept art.

I've only read the Phantom Affair and thought it was average at best.

RE: Author Analysis: Darko Macan
I think Macan is right up there with John in terms of comic writers. He brings a ton of depth to his stories. Jedi vs. Sith is a great example. We're given three kids -- the idealistic Tomcat, who wants to become a Jedi; Bug, the one with the bad attitude; and Rain, the sweet, innocent kid. By story's end, Tomcat has fallen to the darkside and, with yet another twist, come back; Bug has worked through his cynicism to be the best Jedi of all of them, and Rain is a Sith Lord. And it all makes perfect, delightful sense. No one fits any stereotype. It's wonderfully complex, and wonderfully human.
