.................................
...... STAR WARS ........
LEGACY OF THE FORCE
.........TEMPEST ..........
.................................
Forty years after the Battle of Yavin a dangerous new era in the Star Wars epic begins- the revelations are shocking, the stakes desperate, and the enemy everywhere.
As civil war threatens the unity of the Galactic Alliance, Han and Leia Solo have enraged their families and the Jedi by joining the Corellian insurgents. But the Solos draw the line when they discover the rebels' plot to make the Hapan Consortium an ally- which rests upon Hapan nobles murdering their pro-Alliance queen and her daughter.
Yet the Solos' selfless determination to save the queen cannot dispel the inescapable consequences of their actions, that will pit mother against son and brother against sister in the battles ahead. For as Jacen Solo's dark powers grow stronger under the Dark Jedi Lumiya, and his influence over Ben Skywalker becomes more insidious, Luke's concern for his nephew forces him into a life-and-death struggle against his fiercest foe, and Han and Leia Solo find themselves at the mercy of their deadliest enemy . . . their son.

Woohoo. First post.
This is the book that could define the series for some people. The final author gets a chance.
If it's a good performance, a lot more people will have hope for the rest of LotF

Nashtah . . .?
Who could Nashtah be except the only one who's been called that . . .
Unless . . . it's a mirage of deliberate misconception.
Bwua'tu silvered Swarm War alone, but though the open deaths of Jagged and Rar were obvious to me, why is reader surprise RUINED by seeing them in a scumy cast list?

Well, they did reveal her presence in the Tempest excerpt that was in Bloodlines.

I get so excited when these threads are created. We're a month away from Tempest, WHERE ARE THE JUICY SPOILERS! SPILL SPILL SPILL!
I'd definitely like to know exactly why Jacen becomes Han and Leia's deadliest enemy. We know he's distancing them with his totalitarian-ish actions, but something quite hardcore must happen. And what has Jaggy been up to (shut it, I'm sure that's what Jaina used to call him :P) all these years!

I really enjoyed Betrayal. I wasn't that fond of Bloodlines, though I enjoyed some bits. I hope Tempest doesn't move in another set of supporting characters so I feel like I'm starting the series for a third time.

That's exactly how I felt reading the second one. Suddenly, Wedge, Palleon, etc were barely mentioned and a bunch of other people took their place. I guess each book focuses on different people, so you see the action from others' point of view.

I quite liked Bloodlines. In fact, I definately liked it better than Betrayal (though I will admit I didn't like Boba's story line). I am really looking forward to Tempest though, since my girl Tenel Ka will be in it.

I think that that is going to be a common thread through the series. With each author, you get the war from a different view point, to thus intensify the point that its no longer us against them, its us against us.
As far as tempest goes, I cant wait to get my hands on it. I have loved both of the previous books. IMO this is the best "saga" since TTT, and that includes the PT movies.

The DP leaves a lot to be desired. I hope it grows a bit, especially considering Troy's propensity for large casts...

I don't know about that "giving you different perspectives" feel. It seems more like each author is just going with their favorites. Allston with Wedge and his daughter, Traviss with Mandalorians, and now Denning with Alema and Bwua'tu. Granted, it could just be both, but that explanation doesn't really ring true to me.
