God I cannot wait to get this comic tomorrow! grin

My first good look at the remnants of the Galactic Alliance. And finally some GA characters as well. Admiral Stazi, with hopefully more as well.

To be honest, I don't think Stasi is the Duros guy.

Naming an Alliance character after the DDR secret police doesn't seem right.

Here's a ridiculously detailed summary:

We open on Coruscant, in Darth Maladi's laboratory in the Sith Temple. Here she is interrogatin Hosk Tre'lyis, whose name is spelles "Trey'lis" in this issue. Which is correct, #0 or #9? I dunno. Anyway, she's torturing him with machines and the Force, asking him what he knows about Cade. Since he's a healer, his will is weaker than her own, so he eventually tells her. Oh yeah, Calixte is watching also. So yeah, Hosk tells about Rav and Brogar and Syn and Blue, and then Maladi sends Calixte off to have her agents find Skywalker, alive. But even Maladi doesn't know exactly why Krayt wants him alive.

Veed and Calixte are talking about Cade. They want to use him as a pawn in their own schemes. Maladi has replaced most of Nyna's agents with her own, including the Sith's foremost agent, a guy named Jor Tolin, or Jor Torlin, it's not clear. This issue has an annoying number of text errors. But Nyna still has one or two agents Maladi knows nothing about. Such as the blonde on the cover: Morrigan Corde, who's been inactive for 20 years. Calixte shows Veed a security holo from the Wheel, which shows Cade, Wolf, and Shado there. Veed and Calixte get all huggy with eachother - it's kinda odd. Well, they decide they need to get to him before Krayt's people.

Bastion. Fel is yelling at Ganner and Antares about disobeying orders. Seems he knows about Draco's feelings for his daughter. Also, they put 5 tracking devices on the Mynock before Cade left, but apparently he's managed to disable all of them, so they dunno where he went. Moreover, Fel assumes that the Sith tracked the Knights back to Bastion, putting the whole rebellion in jeopardy. Fel can likely no longer bring in any new troops. And so, as punishment, Fel has decided to give them both... a medal. He's retroactively giving his approval for the mission. And he also tells Draco that there's no way he's gonna get to marry Sia, ever. And then sends them on a mission to the conference on the Wheel. They're to escort Captain Bovark there.

The Wheel. Bovark and Stazi are meeting with Temm, the dude who owns the station. He leaves them, and they get down to business. It seems that for the last 7 years, both Fel's Imperials and the GA forces have been making hit-and-run attacks against Krayt's forces. And now Fel wants an Alliance. Bovark explains that Fel wasn't responsible for the war and didn't know about the Sith at first. Stazi rejects an alliance, until Bovark mentions the retaking of Bastion.

Outside the room, Ganner and Antares are waiting, along with some GA guards. Seems they managed to smuggle their lightsabers on board, against station policies.

Elsewhere on the wheel, Jor Torlin, the Sith's agent, is looking for Cade. A Chadra-Fan named Haako tells him he used to be here, but not anymore. Then some thugs decide to pick a fight with Torlin, and he gets pretty beat up. Then a shadowy figure comes out and hands the thugs their asses. It's Morrigan Corde. After the fight, he attacks her because he knows she set the whole thing up. She explains she needed to make contact, and they're both Imperial agents. She throws some sort of drug powder stuff in his face and it knocks him out. The end.

Also, the last page features that one page from Broken, part 6, correctly colored to show Deliah instead of Sia.

So Tolin/Torlin's not Force-sensitive?

It seems he's weakly Force-sensitive. It says that he was raised on Korriban and trained as a Sith, but lacked sufficient Force-sensitivity.

Points of Interest. Typing as I read. Spoilers

- Veed: "A Skywalker, eh? I thought they all died on Ossus." - They all? Not just Kol...in fact, it would seem from the phrase "the all" that several more than Kol were present. Lots of new Skywalkers.
- Nyna: "Remember, Skywalkers do have a tradition with the dark side." - Sounds like she's referring to Jacen, as well.

This is my favorite characterization of Roan Fel so far. Finally he's actually a character, and we get to see how he thinks. His anger in this issue comes off a lot better than his anger in the last one, and the art has sooo much to do with it.

- Fel: "But, after all, Sia is my daughter. People will understand." - I'm pretty sure Jan and Jon are just writing for Charles, now.

I feel super vindicated on my position that the GA and the Jedi are very seperate entities. Further evidence in this issue:
-Fel: "We need allies and, if we are to judge by Sazen and Vao, we're unlikely to find any among the Jedi." - This is just a page before he tells Draco and Antares that the Admiral is going to go talk to GA about a possible Alliance. The Jedi and the GA are splitsville, people.
-Furthermore -and I've said it before- if the GA had Jedi, don't you think they'd send them to guard Stazi, instead of these portly, rough hewn fellows? Or even to negotiate?

-Stazi: "So you're saying Fel was manipulated by the Sith and his own military. Hardly a recommendation for an alliance!" - Still writing for Charles. tongue

-How come the Imperial admiral looks like he's wearing a GA uniform?

-FINALLY WE GET TO SEE WHAT FLIMSIPLAST LOOKS LIKE!

-Nice recolored page from 7.

That's all folks.

Don't forget to read the letters from the fans.

Randy said we'd find out who Krayt is in Legacy #15

And #10 has moved up to the 21st of this month, instead of Apr 4th. dancing

That's just so it won't be so bad when it gets pushed back to May. We'll shrug and say, "Well...it's not really a two month delay, since it was schedules for April to begin with..."

I hope they just mean Kol and Cade. If Cade´s mom, grandparents or great-grandparents would have died there, it should have been shown and it should have affected his character. plain An uncle or aunt who would have died off-screen would be more understandable. I just hope that they do not make it so that a large number of the Skywalkers would have died there. worried It would make everything that happens before Legacy very bleak. frustrated All that happens in LotF and beyond it would just be a slow march towards this massacre. I do not like it at all. sad
