I think it makes it more pointless and horrific if, had the murders not taken place, the prophecy wouldn't have come true. Of course, I also don't want Zayne to become a Sith, so I'm stuck in a tough position.
So? I think the prophecy wouldn't have come true if the Padawan Massacre hadn't been committed, and it still won't come true now that they have been.

I'd prefer it to be that the prophecy does come true in some form, but the covenant's interpretation that one of their Padawans would be the Sith they saw is simply dead wrong.

That's the thing about prophecies: even if they're genuine, the don't necessarily mean what seem to mean.

Unless they decide to make him a permanent star. I love KOTOR, but Zayne annoys the hell out of me.

I think of Zayne Carrick as the "sorta" Jedi Exile.

I.e. he's the Jedi Exile that never was.

Just because it's 4000 years doesn't mean Zayne's dead. What if he learns to flow-walk? Or what if he dies and then his spirit takes over the body of an Anakin Solo clone to help Luke fight the resurrected Sith? Wouldn't that be a cool plot? What does everybody else think?

How come everyone wants Zayne to die already, anyway? Just so that the next generation of heroes can take over? That's not a good reason. There aren't any strong characters to take over for Zayne when he died. Who wants to read a whole comic book about Jarael? I think it's unfair that you want Zayne to die. It's not his fault that this era's underdeveloped.

If Zayne dies, there won't be any reason to read the EU anymore.

This is an imaginary story... aren't they all supposed to fit together, though?
An animated cartoon about Obi-Wan and Padawan Anakin would have made more sense.

Haha bobamatt thats great.

I don't think Zayne will be a sith lord, I think he will just be Zayne and thats fine. Even if he isn't the powerhouse of a jedi don't we have enough of them? I'd rather see him grow into the skillful wise jedi who uses just as much of his brain as the force to get out of situations. Look at Obi-Wan he was no demi-god but still managed to get things done.

Also I don't think Alek is Malak. As far as I remember from Kotr flashbacks Malaki's jedi name was....Malak and he was hairless with tats...actually I don't even remember him being human, wasn't he like a light bluish color? If anything I can picture Alek being Sion. Look at it at Flashpoint station Alek took extra torture sessions to allow some of the other jedi to heal, taking all that pain into himself. I could see Alek becoming the lord of pain. and wasn't Nihilus a force manifestation of emotions, I always got the idea that he wasn't just one person, but was the culmination of events that occured on Malachor.

BobaMatt, I almost shavitted myself reading that. It was that funny.

I don't get this whole issue between Squint's and Malak's eyes. From what I can see on the Wookiee, we're looking at the difference between Malak's gray eyes and Squint's blue eyes. It's pretty close...unless I missed something.

What I think is the real telltale sign that Squint is not Malak is that we already have images of Malak early in the JCW (if his appearance in Exile's Vision is accurate to how he actually appeared) and he's already bald and tatooed and wearing orange. He doesn't have stubble and scars from Mandalorian experiments.

Man, it wasn't until I rechecked the author of this post until I figured out it was a joke. It was so...well done.

Malak's eyes are brown, from what I saw. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.

On the Wookiee I only saw one pic where his eyes were an easily discernable color, and they were gray. The actual screenshots are rather small and low quality, making it rather difficult to tell, but they may be brown in there.

There are about three pics where you can see his eyes on the page, and in all of them the irises are very dark. I'd have to say brown. They're certainly not Alek's clear blue.

Also, Malak is a big guy. He's 2 meters tall (6'6") and is shown towering over other characters. And he was like that before being cyborged (see: the Exile's vision of the past), so it's not like the Anakin/Vader scenario where he artificially gained some height. Alek, on the other hand, seems to be of move average size (slightly taller than Zayne, but certainly no giant).
