Personally, I think "Hay-pees" does not sound right for the name of a governed group of stars. Unless they said it in a snobby-French-accented way where it would be pronounced: "hah-pees". But no, I think Hapes sounds better where the "-ape" part sounds like professor Snape.

I've always pronounced it as rhyming with "grapes."

Ok, here's one that stumps me: Tycho Celchu and Tyko Thul. Both from Alderaan.
Are their first names pronounced the same or different?

I was weird, I guess. Until I was corrected at Celebration IV, I always pronounced it as "Haw-payss" or "Haw-pess."

Shaak Ti, which i have always called 'Shock Tee' was recently pronounced WAY different than it even looks! As well Aayla Secura which i've said 'Aye-Lah Secure-a'. Also Xizor. Which i always said 'Sheezore'. Am i wong on any of these things? I hate asking other people because the ONLY people who know for SURE are probably the writers and aside from John Ostrander i don't know of any other writers on here. I suppose it's all relative, but it is a little difficult with all these strange names.
