As for a militia I appreciate the vote of confidence in my ability to maintain an efficient fighting force in the face of adversity, however, I'm strictly a one man operation and a cowardly one at that. See point #1 is preserving my own precious hide and thusly I focus on getting every break I can, fighting from ambush and concealment, which offends many senses of fair play. Also, no one who has posted yet has proven to be anything but a liability for me in the event of a TEOTWAKI situation. Finally, I plan on not carrying much in the way of anything that isn't directly related to my survival so in short, everything I need I can carry (already have the bag (pack really) packed and laid out, just need to add food and water on my way out). Most of the pack you will be glad to hear is devoted to ammunition storage and several spare parts sets. (Mauser 1898 kurz or M1 Garand and a whatever full-size pistol is my favorite at the moment). No latest and greatest hi-tech killamajigs here. Simple, durable, WWII technology on the weapons front .
