Looks like they're going to be making webdocs for the game too.
Also, from the "Game Info" section:
* During the period between Episodes III and IV, players hunt Jedi in the role of Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice.
* Unleash and upgrade the Secret Apprentice's four core Force powers - Force push, grip, repulse and lightning - throughout the course of the game, and combine them for ultra-destructive, never-before-seen combos.
* Examples of unleashing the Force in ways never thought possible:
o The Secret Apprentice won't just Force push enemies into walls - he'll Force push enemies through walls.
o The Secret Apprentice won't just Force grip foes to throw them aside - he'll Force grip them in midair, zap them with lightning, then drop them to the ground to explode like a bomb.
* In addition to new adversaries created just for the game, such as fugitive Jedi and Force-sensitive Felucians, players will also confront and associate with familiar faces from the Star Wars films, including Darth Vader.
* Visit locations such as Episode III's Wookiee homeworld Kashyyyk and the floral Felucia, the junk planet Raxus Prime, plus an Imperial TIE fighter construction facility.
* Decisions made by players throughout the game will determine the path of the story, including multiple endings that will rock Star Wars continuity as they know it.
* The Force Unleashed is LucasArts' first internally developed title for next-generation consoles, and it represents the first in-game collaboration of talents and technology between LucasArts and Industrial Light & Magic, two companies now finally under one roof at the new Letterman Digital Arts Center in San Francisco's Presidio district.
* The Force Unleashed debuts Digital Molecular Matter from Pixelux and euphoria behavioral simulation from NaturalMotion Ltd.
* LucasArts is preparing an unprecedented promotional effort around the launch of The Force Unleashed, encompassing a full line of toys and game-based action figures from Hasbro, as well as a full publishing program from Dark Horse, Del Rey and Palace Press.

She does look like she could be Palpatine's daughter, which would explain how she got any rank in the Empire as a female, since Daala had to be Tarkin's Valentine just to play security guard in the Maw.

Yeah, it was in some unfortunate retcon. Sith like him say plenty of stuff, and it's usually taken at face value. The one time when it would actually be pretty nifty to have it be true, they retcon it and say it's a lie.

How do you know she's not off duty, Jello? I think it is fine as long as she stays loyal to the Empire and doesn't become another defector.
Anyway, this looks great. I can't say I'm totally surprised that LucasArts got a makeover for this big event either. I'm definately looking forward to the upcoming coverage.
And I am downright giddy that there will be a PS2 version. Although I am very shocked that there is no PC release. Perhaps if there is enough demand for one LucasArts will release a PC version later. Sort of like Halo 2 for Vista....
EDIT: Oh, and I so want Ms. Eclipse to be an honestly skilled officer with no conections and no sleeping her way up the ladder. Just to spite KJA  Although given her name, I would not be surprised if she ended up being one of the Emperor's lovers or something.
Also, glad to see that Dark Horse is definately on board as is DR (I am waiting for the DH website to announce something, guys ). But what exactly is "Palace Press" Have they done anything for Star Wars in the past?
EDIT2: The Wookiee claims that Ms. Eclipse is a pilot. That would explain the more lax dress to an extent, although probably not enough to please Jello

Wonder if the Iridonian chick with Rykk blade-styled Lightsabers and Sith Eyes is a baddie. I mean, her dress could pass on either side. The eyes say bad, but not since Jedi Knight have we seen serious baddies who don't use eeeeeevil Red Lightsabers (the Sith wannabe in Empire Vol. 1 doesn't count)

My best guess would be that she is a Jedi that survived Order 66, but went insane and tuned darkside.
As for Mr. Mysterious Apprentice, I really like his look and part of his purpose. I have been feeling for a while now that Vader needed some sort of uber-Inquisitor guy to help him hunt down the Jedi. Not because Vader can't do that himself, but because the era needs a central villain who can die. This guy seems to be filling that role, right down to how I imagined his character design. Pretty cool.
Anyway, it looks like this game will allow you to shap the plot. Not the character, but it allows an amount of openness. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing yet. And I'm sure that there will be angry fans when their favorite ending isn't canon.

If they're alternate endings (and thus AU and non-canon), then how can they rock continuity?
I'm not too worried about it (yet), since we know next to nothing about the storyline. I hope this isn't another of LucasArts' "build your own character!" games, though. Its a pain in the butt for continuity, and its unnecessary for a game's success

I'm sure the only thing that will be intentionally "rocked" would be current ideas about character motivations. I dont think they would intentionally conflict with established fact. I'm not worried, im excited.

I was wondering about that too. Unless....
All the endings are canon! You're simultaneously Dark and Light, dead and alive, male and female!
After all, what would shake up continuity more than an undead, hermaphroditic, schizophrenic Gray Jedi?
