Jean being an uber mutant has been around for awhile now at least since X-men forever though heavily implied even before that. Though I agee about the current canon being crap. (Whedon should never have been aloud to touch the X-men comics IMO)

I agree a high level force sensetive that was trained by Vader and pushed to go beyond his limits constantly would be insanely powerful.

Yeah for me that's it. No, the SA isn't the Chosen One. He can't be another Luke Skywalker and can't be Palpatine either because that particular Sith Lord plumbed depths of depravity in the Dark Side that really can't be matched. I do think that there's nothing wrong with SA being another Revan though.

I also think he and Vader could have well overthrown Palpatine together had not a certain blonde haired man showed up.

Actually the arrival of a blonde-haired woman with a conscience. I'm pretty sure Luke doesn't really figure into the SA's story very much, or at the very least the story is concluded before Vader knows of Luke.

I stand with the theory that two Jedi parents means a higher probability of both force sensitivity and high force strength/potential, but is by no means a guarantee of such. The writers of the game may choose to see it that way, but one exception doesn't wipe out several dozen/hundred "rules" seen across the rest of the EU. The SA just got lucky in the genes + Will of the Force "lottery." No more, no less.

Otherwise practically all of Dathomir would be Yoda-level by this point. I'm pretty sure there are plenty of FS males on the planet too...they just don't get trained.

Well I mean, if Luke had shown up, then Vader wouldn't have been focused on SA and him overthrowing Palps either.

But good point.

SA is probably gone by ESB.

It appears that he's not longer the SA by the time ANH rolls around.

I do.

The Revans of the universe should be ridiculously rare. Once every millennium or so.

The "Ubersuper Talented Non Skywalker" slot is currently filled by Palpatine. *Uli huffs*

It's bad enough that the SA is encroaching on Vader's awesomeness. I don't want him to encroach on Revan's too.

I don't.

I think it makes them into genetic abnormalities instead of something that's achieved primarilly by effort. No, someone needs to have natural born talent to reach TRULY genius levels in society, but I'm going to say that Revan and Bane didn't achieve any of their special status because of bloodline boon alone.

They had it because of work AND their A blood.

My sentiments exactly.

What is the consensus on the SA's survival?
We already know he goes Jedi, but does he even make it to ANH?

My guess is that we'll see him fly off into the sunset with the girl.

And we'll never see him again until....

I don't disagree with your assertation that the amount of effort they put it should be a major contributing factor. I do feel, however, that people with that kind of drive, dilligence and the talent to match should be once-in-a-blue-moon type folk.

On their own, perhaps, but they're being raised by Darth Vader in this case and don't have a choice.

No, its going to happen in Astonishing. But in a recent issue of Uncanny (and I think possibly the other books) there have been references to Kitty dying. It's because of Astonishing's ridiculous delays that stuff like this happens.

And people complain about SW comic delays. We should all be glad Joss Whedon and Marvel aren't running the show tongue

I wonder who would get cast as his Buffy Substitute if he was writing Star Wars comics?

Depends on the timeframe, of course, but Jaina seems a prime candidate.
