Well, CUSWE says Phobos is a male Duros name, but there's a pretty high typo rate in that entry.
Incidentally, Leland Chee was previously asked if Darth Phobas was a canon name, and said it wasn't. Than I observed elsewhere that while he ruled out Darth Phobas, he never said anything about Darth Phobos, and thus was always telling the truth.

Darth Phobos
If that one screenshot actually shows Darth Phobos, then I can't see how Maul can't have his double-bladed lightsabre.
Unless, of course, Darth Phobos only has a double-bladed lightsabre in the story, but not in duel-mode.

Hmm... if that screenshot is of Darth Phobos then I guess maybe she's just another random Darth you get sent to kill... if so... meh.
I still hope she's a holocron character but... meh. I get the feeling the person who trains you to see the Force in a new light is probably actually going to be that Kota guy who I'm going to guess will act in a Yoda capacity. But I hope I'm wrong. I really wanted this plot to be a bit different not just ESB with different people.
If they're showing us Darth Phobos this early though then I think the chances are high she won't be important to the plot. Oh well. Bring on the next ten random Darth bosses we get to kill.

From the article, Darth Desolus is the first-level Boss, apparently inside the Jedi Temple. The second-level boss is an AT-ST, which makes it sound like he/she is relatively weak.
The headshots of the multiplayer duel-mode options indicate that Darth Phobas is indeed the Klingon-looking Theelin; this makes Kari Wahlgren's claims about the roles she plays more credible - though Aayla might just be in the multi-player mode, and Phobos may be a hologram.

He can't breathe for himself without exerting massive Force power
Eh? Who says? He can't breathe for himself which is why he has the machines and the pressurized suit, I've not seen any evidence he needs to constantly use the Force.

Uhhh...why would we have any reason to doubt the voice actress?
She'd have no stake in lying to the public about what roles she has, and it'd not be the first time spoilers for something got out because an actor let something slip.
If anything, either Chee misunderstood that it was in multi-player, didn't know they were going to be in multi-player, or was just looking at it from the perspective of the characters not being part of the "canon" of the story, and didn't want to leak anything before it was time to leak it.

Meh, I still prefer the old fashioned Choke hold.
This shot; albeit on the Wii's limited graphics, is awesome.

Desolous; an x-Jedi, was supposed to have taken up residence in the Jedi Temple.
Phobos was supposed to have been a holocron gatekeeper.
Have some things changed that I missed?

I was under the impression Phobos being a holocron gatekeep was just a theory some people (including myself) had suggested. I know I never read it anywhere at least, only that I just speculated whether Darth Phobos would be the "mentor" who instructed the SA on how to wield the Force in new ways (i.e. "Force Destroy Star Destroyers").
As far as I know though there isn't actually a source that says anything to that effect.

The Clone Wars is OT quality good. Really. Emperor Fel's badassery knows no bounds. As Father and Son (An AU RP) - Looking for a few good replacements...see profile for info. http://boards.theforce.net/role_playing_forum/b10328/28357048/p1/?10

QFT...
I'm amazed more people haven't railed against the plot.
That Vader didn't really do squat during the purge, his lacky did it for him.
The OT gets spit on daily.
Sadly, it seems the EU is hell-bent on making Darth Vader irrelevant.
And I'm still cranky about the character list for the duel mode!

"The Star Wars story is really the tragedy of Darth Vader. That is the story. Once Vader dies, he doesn't come back to life, The Emperor doesn't get cloned and Luke doesn't get married," George Lucas. I'm a proud hater of 98% of the Expanded Universe.

That speculation was fueled by my horrible translation of an German video clip for Krome Studios. In it, they said Desolous was a former Jedi living in the Temple as a Sith, and Phobas was his dark mentor through a holocron... thats why I asked if things had changed.
The image that I posted for her is from Duel Mode, so its possible she's only going be appear as a gatekeeper. Not that I care, I'll be playing the 360 and the PS3 versions. Unless I fgind someone that has a Wii, then I'll buy them a copy just so I can check it out!
BobaMatt posted: Ahh...so he's not necessarily a real Sith Lord...rule of two and all...I like...
My sentiments, exactly. And wouldn't it be sweet if Phobas appears as a holocron guide, and spills the beans about being Zannah's last Apprentice, or something along those lines?!
maderic posted: Sadly, it seems the EU is hell-bent on making Darth Vader irrelevant.
You can say that again.
maderic posted: And I'm still cranky about the character list for the duel mode!
I know. Whats with ELEVEN versions of the SA anyways? Talk about overkill.
I can think of quite a few Jedi and Sith that I'd rather see in duel mode:
Vos!
PLAGUEIS!!
Revan
Plo Koon
Kyle Katarn
Cade
Krayt
Nihl
Sidious
