It doesn't really bother me, but I still think it's silly. He's promoting his game, which I fully understand, but bad puns and hyperbole don't endear it to me. And I say this as a gamer, not just as a Star Wars fan. He's fine at other times, like when he talks about stuff like the physics and the story, but once he goes into marketing mode, the eyes start a'rollin.
EDIT:
Of course, I'm not saying that it should be target at the fastidious continuity hounds.

Rogue_Follower posted: I'm neutral on Blackman. I liked Open Seasons, and I don't mind his other work. But I think some of the antipathy, at least with respect to TFU, comes from the attitude we get from him in his promotion of the game. For example:
"This game is about KICKING ASS with the Force."
I think that while such things might attract the more casual fan, the people here in Lit are looking for something a bit more... nuanced. To us it just seems overhyped and silly. And when we people tossing around "low brow" marketing crap like that, it gets annoying. At least, that's my impression.
Yes, this.
In fact, I've actually enjoyed Blackman's contributions to the EU, for the most part (if I can look past the fact that he gave us another instance of Padme seeing Anakin's scar "for the first time" ). Still, I find what I've heard and seen of the story so far to be... underwhelming and more than a little frustrating. The leaked pages of the comic only further contributed to my queasiness... and I'm really not liking the trend with what we know of the new characters. Hopefully what we know isn't indicative of what the entire story is going to be like and, with luck, I'll be able to eat my words on the game's release.
Though I still don't understand why Vader has his apprentice dress in rags.
I think I'd like the whole concept a lot more if we were playing as Lumiya or an Inquistor.

I don't have a problem with the delay itself.
However, its unlikely the delay isn't at least in part due to wanting to maximise profits by cashing in on the Star Wars buzz the Clone Wars movie will create. So, I just hope they actually are using the time productively (read: fixing bugs) instead of working on TFU2 or another game instead having deemed TFU "ready for release" back in March.
Vice versa, if the delay genuinely is because of the game needs bugs fixing then I hope they don't rush it out to coincide with the Clone Wars movie if they encounter problems and should really have delayed it until 09 or whatever.
Or, put simply, I just hope it doesn't suffer from "movie game" problems.

QFT That phrase alone is enough to make me doubt this game will have any depth but I hope i'm wrong. I feel that so far from everything we've seen that there tryin to make the new technology the selling point which it is innovative and seems like it'll be fun but I personally don't see the replay value if there is no depth to the story mode and no multiplayer on the next-gen. But hey at least we get to play as Vader in the beginnning thats worth the price of admission.

Maybe it's just me, but I think they seem fairly excited about the plot, too...they just aren't at liberty to talk about it.

Interesting pictures. That rancor looks pretty off from a rancor. It must be some sort of off-breed.
The art seems very nice!!

You're way to hopeful. Death Star continuity actually working would be worth a news item on TFN. Hell, CNN even.

Little bit of news...
Cameron Suey has apparently confirmed that there will be a TFU demo for PS3 and 360 out soon.
