My only... concern... is whether this means they're rushing TFU out for release to tie in with the Clone Wars film. It does seem rather odd that they'd leave a feature as big as this out and not release it until several months after launch.
Now, it could be a crafty attempt to get people to buy the Wii version at the same time as the 360 or PS3 version in September but if this patch is out in January it means they'll have lost potential Christmas sales that may have tried to do the same thing (e.g. buy 360 in September, get the Wii for Christmas, or whatever).
So... yeah... consider me worried. I really hope the reason is a crafty, if somewhat nasty, marketting ploy and NOT due to them rushing the game out before its ready. 
EDIT: I see there is an update where they deny said rumours. Bizzarely enough that makes me hopeful that maybe it is a marketting ploy after all. Heck, I'd take no multiplayer at all or the marketting ploy over another KOTOR2.

Well theres a plot summary for the novel out but it doesn't really tell us anything new. Vader gets apprentice. Vader trains apprentice. Vader sends apprentice to kill Jedi. Apprentice changes his mind. So, to answer your question, I guess that means nope.

I wonder if Mara Jade is the one who tracks the Silly Annoyance back to the Executor, where Vader stabbed him for being sloppy and getting followed. (unless of course, it's Proxy that is standing in for the SA... which explains Proxy's absence from the OT and the SA's survival for the showdown on the Death Star)
I just got to thinking when I was looking over the Duel mode slection screen...
Why make that skin, and not put her in the game?

Same reason they made Asajj and Aayla skins: to have some EU characters in the duel mode according to the recent GameSpot interview.
