FYI-

Dark Empire has canonically stated that Luke lowered the Liberty with Telekinesis.

Cool.

I never said I was bothered by TK on such a grand scale. I just think its funny that we never see such stuff in the films.

The I go back to the question: Can a jedi fly? If the force n allow you to do stuff like that. And I'm not talking about Maw, the legless dude.

Why wouldn't they? If we accept the view that nothing is impossible via the Force, would it be a massive stretch of the imagination to feature flying Jedi? We've seen things from Jedi that should be far more impressive than flying, and we know from I, Jedi that Levitation was a part of the curriculum at least in the Praxeum's early years. It may just be a less useful skill or require a bit of extra training to outright fly. (And what's the difference between flight and levitation anyways?)

Can a Jedi fly?

I'd say that, technically, it's possible. However, it probably requires a vast Force potential, extreme concentration, and it must become mentally exhausting very quickly. Besides, gliding and slowing your descent are easier to do and a bit more practical in most situations a Jedi would find themselves in.

As for bringing the star destroyer down...yeah, the SA didn't have to force it down the whole way. Messing with the controls, damaging the engines, or something of that nature would have been more energy effecient. After all, it's not like he's lifting something that big into the air; gravity is working with him.

Stover said that landing the ship was simply impossible. But Anakin is good enough to do it anyways. I didn't see it as telekinesis so much as a simply superhuman piloting ability.

It doesn't matter how insane your piloting skills are; you can't fly a brick.

Certainly not. It would be simply impossible. Oh, wait. Besides, how do we know there weren't some repulsors still intact?

Also, see Wookieepedia's page on Force flight. It should probably include what Mara did in Betrayal, but whatever.

It's really no less believable than Kyp Durron, who had about two weeks of trianing, ripping the Sun Crusher from the heart of Yavin.

Exar Kun, dude. Exar Kun.

Well, I see where they get the Skywalker name from. And goshdarn it, she isn't even blood-related.

This is taking it TOO literally.

Though, in Exile, Kyp's pretty sure that it was he who obtained the Sun Crusher through the Force.

Whilst I quite liked Allston's reference to the days of OTT Force powers in early KJA dominated EU, I was a little "...uh?" that it wasn't attributed to Kun.

I can buy a 4000 year old spirit pulling off such tricks much more easily than a newly/barely trained boy.

Yes . . . it was not entailed where in Durron's teen incarcerated life he learned the complex skills of interstellar flight. A good trilogy, but light in some areas.

Wasn't Exar boosting Kyp's power to ridiculous levels at that point?

Oh god, not another 'DE/DE2/EE sucks!' post...yes, we get the point. Take the debates to another thread.

Yeah, he was, but when Kyp relates the story to Omas, he doesn't mention Kun at all.

Then again, it served his point better if he DIDN'T mention Kun. So I suppose all's well.

Why?

It is canon.

That's strange because I never said "DE sucks". The point was DE conflicts with the PT.
