Something I caught in the letters section of Legacy #9, is that (as the thread title says) "Darth Horny" will be unmasked in issue #15....

This is what I wrote earlier about this on the Legacy #9 thread:

If the identity of Darth Krayt is revealed in #15, then that pretty much buries the possibility of him being Jacen, Ben, Anakin Solo, a clone of Anakin Solo or a secret son of Luke by either Lumiya or Callista, because all these things would most likely also interfere with LotF.

I just hope that there would be some amount of sense of wonder included with the revelation of his personality. praying That he would not be just some Jedi that we have seen in one frame on some issue of Republic or something like that. plain

I have a feeling that Krayt will be someone we already know from the NJO but didn't have a huge role in the series...my money's banking on Wurth Skidder.

I'm gonna make a wild prediction and say.....

Quinlan Vos' son, Korto. We saw him once, and his father flirted with the darkside all in the name of saving the galaxy from war.

Plus, he would have been born at the same time Luke and Leia were, so this is, what? 100 years after the NJO? So he would be 140 yo? Issue 0 did say he was "ancient and deadly" and that he had been creating the new Sith order for over 100 years.

Korto could've grown up, searched out what it means to be a Jedi and stumbled across Lumiya, who instructed him in the ways of the Sith. I think he has nothing to do with the Skywalker lineage, and it would make sense that the creators would make a tie to their Republic comic book creations.

We'll see, but that's my take on it.

Korto is probably too old to be Krayt if what Krayt himself says in his holocron is taken literally. Also Krayt being Korto would mean that Quinlan would have failed to keep the promise he made to his son and that would be sad.

Because nothing sad happens in Star Wars, like Leia taking a risk on hope and love that her kids won't be like her father... and ending up with Jacen.

Again, Krayt is obscenely old anyway.

And frankly, it has to be someone that the comic readers would care about or his "identity" wouldn't be a question.

Who is Darth Krayt would answered as "Darth Krayt"

It would actually make a serendipitous sort of sense. Vos has been to Korriban before.

Didn't Krayt have a line to the effect of "I should have ended the Skywalker line when I had the chance"? Obviously, this could refer to something post LOTF but I have a feeling Krayt will wind up being someone we'll recognize as having had dealings with the Skywalkers before.

Let´s hope then that he really is someone that fans would care about. But would people really care that much about Korto? I mean, it would be sad, but mainly because of Quinlan, not as much because of Korto himself.

My personal feeling is that both those people that want Krayt to be someone we know well - I myself hope for this - and that those who want him to be a new character will be disappointed. He will most likely in my opinion to be some minor, already known character, or a descendant of the Hett family. There really is no good, believable options out there - as far as I can think of - that would create a truly remarkable moment when his identity is revealed. plain

Yes, exactly.

The point is that we'd probably see some scenes where Quinlan and his son interact only to watch the young man descend further into further darkness.

The idea he's going to be a descendant not even Sharad Hett himself doesn't work though because Krayt "knows the Jedi of old."
