	Regardless of who is Darth Krayt, does anyone else want to see the story of Kir Kanos finished? I would love to see him end up with the Empire of the Hand or in LOTF going after Lumiya for the death of the Emperor. 	The more I think of it the more I realize that I just want Darth Krayt to be a completely new and unrelated character. A lot of people have made suggestions that do make sense, but it just would take some of the mysteriousness away from him. Honestly, let us check out some of the suggestions.... Jacen Solo: Everything from the point we find out about it will simply leave the novels in the future to be about "How Jacen Becomes Darth Krayt. Korto Vos: Really this would disappoint me, as "Republic" would be pretty much lame after that. Quin fights off his own dark side...overcoming it totally in the very end only to have his son show up a century + later as a really bad guy. Blah. A'Sharad Hett: I felt that by the end of Republic Hett was a level headed enough Jedi that it simply would not make much sense. Kanos: Just isn't really in his personality profile. He wanted to serve the Emperor...not be the Emperor....he was offered power by his foe Carnor Jax. He could have taken up Jax's offer and waited until the time was right to kill Jax and rule the Empire on his own. Ben Skywalker: Same as Jacen Solo. Nom Anor: I really think this is the best option, but would require a whole lot of retcon. Kyle Katarn: C'mon people, give Roan Fel, the GA, and the Jedi SOME chance. 	I really, really hope it's not Vader's apprentice. I have enough problems with the concept (would arrogant, rageful Darth Vader really decide to train some random kid as his instrument of revenge or somesuch? Blah...squinches up face I. Will. Reserve. Judgement!). To have the guy go into hiding for a hundred and forty years...just...why? Why would someone stay hidden that long? It would require someone of inordinate patience and a tactical bent, not to mention someone with a twisted but selfless nature. From the little we know of the Apprentice (and the fact he was trained as a weapon by Darth Vader), that doesn't sound like him. Sounds like it'd be a cheap way to link up Force: Unleashed events. Ganner, though. I would weep for him because his death was so utterly glorious, but yes. I could understand it. Though the chance to end the Skywalker line would have to be some event in the future... 	Anyone else except Nom Anor. In NJO the Skywalker-Solo family had umpteenth chances of killing the mediocre meddler and they let him go time after time, which caused death and destruction, even to their own family. And now that Nom Anor would have survived? Everything that would happen in Legacy because of the Sith would be the fault of the Solos, because they were so damn good that they just could not kill the creep after all that he had done! I am tired of that in NJO, DN and LotF all that goes wrong is caused by the mistakes of the heroes. The whole DN is the result of a mistake the Solo kids do in SbS! And now the same in Legacy? No, thanks. That would make it less than a year and a half from the start of the series. So how exactly are we dragging it out? Nuke says we're doing it too SOON.
