I am happy to see that there are others that would like to see this explored a little more. The attraction of using Yoda isn't necessarily the character himself, just that with a being that age you have a tie down point for an entire era. Anyhow, I am not holding my breath but still think it would make a good story or stories.

I don't think I'd like a book spanning his whole life, but I would really like a book set in his time as a Padawan/Knight, as well s his first Master, an aging Valentine Farfalla, His second Master, N'kata Del Gormo, Darth Cognus and Darth Millennial.

It is Valenthyne Farfalla, and what is your source for him training Yoda?

I could see Yoda starring in a sitcom.

No source. As I said, that's what I'd like.

Yoda's life as a book? I don't know about that. The problem that I see with as novel like that is, what is the significance? Something utterly revelevent must happen in Yoda's life that effects the rise of the Sith or something like that, or the novel won't sell. Realistically, I'm sure in Yoda's life he went on many dangerous missions and of course, survived. And it had nothing to do with the Sith. But do people want to read about something like that?

You know, I could really use an all-adventure-no-massive-event-series like Jedi Apprentice right now... From time to time, I like to enjoy EU that doesn't try to top the movies, merely accompanying them.

Or one can choose to meet it with love.
Jacen had chosen.
But still, he was astonished to discover that the Universe could love him back.

Didnt Yoda at one point say that he slid down the dark path a little. That would be cool to look into.

I know I'm in the minority, but I don't like Yoda.

He's an arrogant green gnome. I'm sure there is more I don't like about him, but at the moment, my mind is blank. Rest assured, however, that there is nothing I do like about him except for his crazy old hermit act that he sadly drops.

I hated Yoda in the Prequel Trilogy, but mainly I just hated that Lucas used him in the prequel trilogy. If you watch the films in sequence now, there are literally *no* surprises or twists.

"The muppet is Yoda?!" cool factor thing should have remained.

Yoda references in the prequels would have been awesome. Actually using Yoda diminished him imho. He seemed a lot, lot, lot less wise.

This is an imaginary story... aren't they all supposed to fit together, though?
An animated cartoon about Obi-Wan and Padawan Anakin would have made more sense.

I think the PT was an awful lot better for his presence.

Frankly, the films ought to be watched in release order anyway.

I thought Yoda was a huge hero to the republic so maybe he fought dark jedi (note not sith). Also watching Yoda start to fall and turn to the light would be cool. Although I don't see any Yoda books coming out he's kinda YABOOO...
Although I would like to read books about both the Dark Lords and Ancient Jedi.

Yoda in the OT are early EU was a great sage...a symbol of what was good and how that connected with being a jedi. In the PT, he was a Jedi stooge. Granted, not as bad as Mace or some other council members, but he still was focused more on "Jedi way", blinding assuming it to be "right way".

Now as far as a novel with the green guy...I'd say a single biography, or even a series on his life, would give us far too much detail into him...and I'd rather not lose his mystery the way we've lost Boba Fett's.

Perhaps a single book set in the old republic era when he was younger...perhaps Yoda's rise to Masterhood?

Better yet, a novel of Yoda's exile on Dagobah, explaining how his philosophies change after witnessing the purge and his fears that Vader will find him! That could be cool.

But a life story? nah.

So Devaronian females are suppose to have thick fur, eh?
Has anyone seen one outside an essential guide?
...
When even the creative teams refuse to make fuzzy Devaronians...it should be a clue, folks.
Thus endeth the lesson.
