Other than A New Hope Radio Dramatization are there any other appearances or references to Luke's friends on Tatooine (Cammie, Tank, etc.)?

I wouldn't blame Luke for never wanting to see them again... but if he did return to Anchorhead I wonder if they would have the midichlorians to call him 'Jedi Wormie' to his face.

It would be pretty funny if they did. I think he went to Tatooine to sell the moisture farm before he was well on his way to being a Jedi( before SOTE and ROTJ), but I have no clue if he swung by Toche Station to say hello to his old friends.

There's a Marvel comic where he visits them, I think. Don't know which issue, though.

EDIT 2: As for Tank, well...you can check Wookieepedia if you want to be spoiled (or if you have been already), or you can read the Empire comics to find out about ol' Tank.

I think there was a "Tales" comic where he stopped by as well, though my memory is somewhat vague. I might be remembering something else.

Luke really does not care much about Tatooine, that has come relatively clear during the years. In that he resembles his father...

And it could be an embarassing visit for all. His old friends are probably happy to tell visiting holonet crews about their youth and friendship with the great Luke Skywalker, all the things that they did with him, but having the great man himself - one of the most powerful and respected beings in the known universe - to come visit them and see them, back home which they never let, having lived ordinary lives, not achieving anything great, just decades of toil behind them, I do not really think that they would like it much. It would put their own lives in a bad perspective. Thinking that they wasted their chances.

It would be the old story of small town friends, of whom one "escaped", went to the big cities, saw the world, achieved wealth and fame and then comes back home decades after to see the old home town and old friends again... Those things rarely end well.

I don't know if I'd call fixer his "Friend".....the guy was pretty much a jag. Camie either has a head full of bricks or the pickings are very very slim on Tatooine to have married Fixer Boy.

Hey - are you from Pittsburgh by any chance? I thought that was a local insult.

Back on topic - I was thinking it's too bad Luke sold the old farm. Tattooine would make a nice Jedi training center IMHO, now that Yavin is toast (afaik).

I think I picked up "jag" when I meandered through Pittsburgh a few years back now that I think about it... funny.

The Jedi need a planet which they control for a main training centre. That way they don't have to worry about annoying the locals, plus you don't have the locals interfering with taxes, laws, defence and police forces, etc.
