	Oh man. It's getting too close now. The tension is getting thick in EU fandom... I really really hope someting, ANYTHING profound happens...it's time. 	This will be the first book I've gone spoiler free for in a long, long time. Since discussion will probably shift towards who's going to be Jacen's sacrifice I'm going to go ahead and give my prediction: Luke. He's in the famous "death spot" and there's that quote from Sue that said "Something so major and incendiary will occur during the Legacy of the Force series that we cannot even mention what it is.". One of the Big Three dying would definitely be major and incendiary, so if one of them dies it would be in a hardcover. Betrayal has already come and gone so we're left with Sacrifice or LOTF #9. -----signature----- ANAKIN SOLO WON'T RETURN!

	Ah, finally! I'm really looking forward to Sacrifice -- for multiple reasons. Jacen is going to take his Sith name and, according to the popular opinion, a movie name will be crossed off the cast list forever. That's already enough meat for a good story, but I'm hoping for even more. Let the Corellians destroy a major GA shipyard, kill off Calpatine or something like that. LotF has been a good series so far, but I'm missing the shattering impact on the SW galaxy. Sacrifice is the middle point and, at least to me, a make-or-break novel for LotF. I think it's going to be a fun ride. POV speculation: Jacen, Ben, Mara, Luke and Boba. Perhaps Han or Leia instead of Luke. I'm also hoping for a big Jaina part, but I'm not sure, if she'll make the five-character-point-of-view list. Jacen's (possible) sacrifice should come from that list, I believe. -----signature----- I Lumiya

	Luke is not going to die in a book where he doesn't appear on the cover. It's got nothing to do with Star Wars or the EU...it's marketing. This doesn't mean it will be Mara...but it discounts Luke. When Luke dies...there will be a cover with Luke in some noble gesture...and it will be at the front door of every bookstore in the world for a year. -----signature----- So Devaronian females are suppose to have thick fur, eh? I hope you will not feel very embarassed on 29th of May, but instead can congratulate yourself for being correct, because I personally think that Luke will die. Originally he was intended to be on the cover, that has to be remembered. 	From my other list, we have: Mara...Luke...Han...Leia...Tenel Ka...Cal Omas I think we can cross out Cal Omas as the sacrifice, though it's still very likely he dies. The death of Tenel Ka, Han, or Leia would probably be covered by TROY DENNING, not Karen Traviss. That leaves Mara and Luke. One on the front cover, the other on the back cover. Both make sense, plotwise. I was thinking Luke, but now I hope it's Mara, just so we can have a Luke-Leia as the ultimate bother-sister Jedi team.

	i had my fingers poised over the keyboard ready to hammer out my prediction of who it's going to be...but then i realised, i don't have a clue. and i think they've done a damn good job if i haven't already reached a conclusion. but i reckon Omas will go, paving the way for the Inferno...and maybe Boba will knock him off? Then Niathal will impose a military dictatorship. in 11 years of reading these books i've never anticipated one this much exile spoilers - also...i doubt Han or Leia will be the sacrifice after what Lumiya and jacen discussed at the end of Exile, though he has decided that they'll die at his hand/by his orders anyway. so imo they're not really on the cards, though they'll still be threatened by his actions anyway. -----signature----- Down with squibs!

Jacen's sacrifice doesn't have to devastate the galaxy. The civil war does. 	Hey, it's just my speculation, we have to talk about something in this thread before the spoilers come! I think I'll actually leave when they start to come in, I think this will be the first Star Wars book I go spoiler-free in a long time.
