And is a bit different than a, y'know, poison dart. You're telling me the poison works in .2 seconds with absolutely no time? she has enough time for last words, after all. A poisoned Luke was still able to slice Shimrra's head off.

Yes. Both had completely exhausted themselves. Mara had won but was horribly wounded. There's actually a moment where Jacen fears she'll overcome the poison because she is fighting it, but she's also suffering from serious injuries besides that. Maybe someone else can list all the other various injuries, but I'm pretty sure one was being run through with a lightsaber. It's not a punk death at all, but the culmination of a nasty and brutal brawl.

Also its a trgaic way to go as well, im imagining her like mace windu, on the eve of victory oly to be blindsided by a vision. A tragic end indeed and with no real victory for mara as far as we know! Ohh i love it but it makes me want to cry as well! How far Jacen has fallen.
