So, no one realizes that it was Jacen who killed you-know-who? Were there no witnesses?

Also, can someone *please* give any information on characters other than Luke, Mara and Jacen? What is going on with Jaina, Han and Leia? Even a little tidbit of information will make me happy. grin

Thanks for the spoilers, ya'll!

Mandomotors is back in business. During an evacuation of the location of a singularity bomb explosion on Mandalore, a new vein of iron ore was discovered and bes'kar is now being produced again for use in armor and fighters, and Fett signs a treaty with the Verpine.

Mara and Lumiya have a fight early on, but the Sith ship saves Lumiya.

At this point no one realizes it was Jacen because he has an alibi. It's a thin one, and at this point it seems that Alema is the prime suspect, but there's no telling how long that will last.

Ben knows that Jacen was working with Lumiya, and has suspects him of something, but doesn't realize he killed his mother.

Did the Mandalorians have problems with the Verpine or something?

Perhaps it just a business treaty between the bucketheads and the Verpine?

I hate the resurrection in this. Other persons lost a loved one, one gets back a loved one. This dead person should have been kept dead. But no. angry

Luke is a hypocrite. Its ok when he has brushes with the Dark Side, but when anyone else does, he freaks out. He acts like such a freaking saint and constantly having brushes with the dark side throughout the novels.. I have not read sacrifice yet, but though Jacen is a little shady, for the most part he is doing everything he can to save the galaxy, its Lumiya that is manipulating the war to turn Jacen. I am assuming Mara learns Jacen and Lumiya are working together and therefore decides to kill him. Why? Because she is right, which means he is wrong. He is a tough commander that really has no limits in reaching his goals (which are nobel), but some of the hero's of our world have been the same. Now he has done something HORRIBLE. But what is he supposed to do. Drop his sword and let her kill him. (we all know she would)

Just to clear things up;

Lumiya is killed after Mara.

Luke tells Ben that he has 'got' Lumiya as justice for Mara.

Ben tells Luke it couldn't be Lumiya that killed Mara
as he was with her when he felt his mother's death.

Are Jag and/or Zekk in the book? If not, is it explained what they are up to?

Thanks.

The Verpine want the bes'kar and the Mandos want the Verpine electronics systems. It's a business deal.

Only a good deal, when you think of how fragile Verpine craft (talking Shatter and Sniper Gun^^) is. tongue

It's fairly short and brutal. There's no forgiveness and no mercy in Luke. He goes straight in for the kill and it's a great scene.

The final scene and statement are great, one of my favourite all time deaths.

Lumiya starts to fall off a crumbling ledge and Luke grabs her hand;

"I'd never let you fall"

*decapitation*

applause

Now THAT'S initiative.

Is it a good classic confrontation between Luke and Lumiya this time?

I hope it's not like their silly bar room brawl.

Okay, I'm not complaining about Lumiya's death anymore.

This was totally worth it.

Mmm. All I can say is that this is certainly going to be interesting. As for the deaths - I'm not jumping for joy over either one (of the ones that have been revealed) but I'm not all broken up, either. At least for me, it's the perfect balance of "Oh, no!" and "Oh, well." Still, I was hoping for something a little more... unexpected and plot-twisty. I guess there still could be plenty of plot twists actually in the novel, and there are certainly more plot points that haven't been revealed. *nods*

A conversation on Dathomir:
Welk: My daughter did that... I am blameless. I'm not even armed.
Jacen: And you just let her do whatever she wants?

Just wondering... anything about Corran Horn? Or only the usual little cameo?

Alright, the usual big-picture related requests.

- Any fleet action?

- Are the Jedi in StealthX's again?

- Any further information on the Council roster?

- Status of the Confederation?

- Phennir? Any cameo?
