I'm getting tired of the authors not doing anything with her. Jacen has this huge story, falling to the dark side, murdering all kinds of people, doing all sorts of mean and nasty, ugly things. And Jaina... has a trail of boyfriends.

Sorry, I'm at work and literally blanking on some things. I had to think about it for a moment and she's in the book quite a bit, has a long talk with Mara about her boyfriends and responsibilities as a Jedi, a nice heart to heart as well as helping Luke try to track down Mara and, iirc, is at Luke's side when he finds out that Mara has died.

Earlier in the novel she is very much a part of the discussions about how to hunt the Siths, Lumiya and Alema, down and what to do about Jacen.

So, she's actually in the novel quite a bit, but as more of a supporting character, but she's very, very much a part of the novel and is a great help to both Luke and Mara throughout the book.

There's also a council session on what to do about Jacen. I dimly remember that it's interrupted by Mara returning from having fought Lumiya and the session being called because Mara is wounded and Luke needs to spend time with her and debrief her over how her hunting went.

And it's too bad that Luke didn't get offed. I think a vengeful Mara, extremely pissed Sword of the Jedi Jaina, and a potential Grand Master Leia Solo would've made a helluva cool turn for the EU.
