Or he should be a hero right up until the end. I'd like to see him live to an extraordinarily old age but I don't think that it's a good thing that he dies in his bed because Luke's goal is not peace for himself, it's peace for the galaxy. I also don't think that any enemy should have the satisfaction of being the one to kill Luke Skywalker.

Seriously, if Luke's a superhero let him be a superhero and throw away the contrived caps on his strength in the Force and the wisdom he's gained because of that. I'm currently reading the Hand of Thrawn and let me say this... the idea that Luke was doing crazy ish with the Force and using "too much" power too often is GREAT. It's precisely what's happened with Jacen, he uses too much power far too casually far too often and look where it's taken him! Same deal with Grampa Vader. Luke should be able to do damn near everything... Maybe that's the problem authors are having, they are trying to write a superhero as not being a superhero. I don't want Luke to be omnipotent or anything, but c'mon Jacen's descent has been so transparent Luke still not having figured it out is just lame. -----signature----- http://blogs.starwars.com/slaveoftheforce

	Ok i know this is REALLY REALLY terrible of me but i want Jacen to KILL Luke. Not for Luke in particular but to see Jacen and what he will do. If he drops the lightsaber and looks at what he's done and just cries. It would be nice to see that Jacen still has some love left in him to understand that he's a jerk. But i love Luke Skywalker. (he's my uncle for peat sake. read my signature)If i saw him die at the hands of his nephew. I-I don't kno what i'd do. 	All you Luke-needs-to-die fans are basically highlighting one important fact about star wars novels now...There is NO VARIETY! If we had other novels based around characters other than the 'big 3' you would not be whining that 'Luke needs to die, he needs to die now!!' It's unfortunate that Del Ray are not allowing any other stories set in LOTF timeframe....Even if it is between DN and LOTF.... I find it a little disturbing that if someone thinks a character has no further use, you seem to go 'flush him, he's not useful anymore' -----signature----- Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Bumfluff!

I wouldn't go wishing for things that would make you cry. Crying isn't alot of fun.

	People want Luke to die because they feel it will allow the 'new generation' to finally take over. Perhaps you need a new hobby EDIT: As much as I do not like what Jacen has become, he is really one of the ONLY 'next generation' characters to emerge from the shadows of those before him. It's not a case of killing off or removing the 'big 3' from the picture but rather focus on the adventures of the next gen. characters. An example of how it could be done is in 'I, Jedi' the story is about Corran Horn yet we have Luke in a scene or two throughout the book. He doesn't dominate, nor is his inclusion unnecessary, but it shows that a good Star Wars story can be created without the storyline revolving around the main characters we grew up with. -----signature----- Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the Bumfluff!

	what i meant about jacen crying over luke was that maybe in killing luke (the whole blood on your hands thing) he would see that he has done so much wrong! he killed boba fetts daughter, nelani, and mara and like now luke he'd be saying to himself "oh my god what have i done! what have i become!"(reminiscent of anakin in ROTS) and see the error in his ways. -----signature----- forgiven- within temptaion jacen's song 100%

	^^Anakin killed by accident Padme and that didn't change him right away. If anything it will just cause Jacen to sink further into the darkness and then it will be up to Ben or Allana to redeem him when they grow up and thats just an OT rehash.
