Sorry... but no one will answer this theory...is it possible that Krayt was shaped like Tahiri...he was obviously sith before hand but he appears to be pretty relaxed and attached to Vong tech.

Well, to answer you question in any detail would force me to go too close to violating spoiler policy soooooo...

I'll just say Yes for now. Although, I can't picture Krayt as a very good Damsel in distress type figure.

Yeah. In his youth, Krayt was the quarterback on the Vong Tech football team. tongue

Seriously, though, doorki, it's a good point! grin

What exactly does it mean to be shaped again, I uh, forgot? There was so much terrible in the NJO that this shaping thing with Tahiri, I know I read it, slipped my mind.

It's like genetic engineering brain cells to phagocytose other brain cells. Leaving the brain cells that is essential to wielding the Force, while excreting unwanted junks through the vesicles such as lysosymes and peroxisomes, until at last....

Well he isn't to happy with his armor, and remember what happened with Caedus, ok he wasnt shaped but he got some kind of attachment with Vong stuff ( he has his own Embrace of Pain ), so maybe its the same with Krayt he had a bad time but at the same time he learned lot of stuff, and we dont know maybe his armor helped him to escape the Vong.

And lets not forget he met Vergere then love

Not quite.

"Shaping", in general terms, is any process that involves the wholesale reworking of a living organism through bio-science, to serve the purposes of the Yuuzhan Vong.

In the specific instance of Tahiri, I don't recall them actively removing any of her existing memories. They used pain to suppress them, but I think they wanted her to be able to re-access them once her new personality was established - which they did by creating new memory cells with YV memory information inside a human-memory-cell package.

Physical shaping was also planned as part of the long-term project: sculpting her features into Yuuzhan Vong form, for instance removing her nose.

Thanks guys. So would Krayt have to have been shaped with partial Vong parts so that the Vondunn crab armor accepts his presence enough to allow him to wear it?

I don't think so. Quite a bit of Yuuzhan Vong gear is usable by humans unshaped, if you know the right ways to stroke it to give it instructions and can tolerate the pain that using it inevitably brings.

Vonduun crab armor rejects and kills non-Vong. Ash has his arm back, which suggests that there's more Vong tech involved in who he is now than just the external crispy, crunchy, tender, flaky Crab Armor crust.
