Thanks guys. So would Krayt have to have been shaped with partial Vong parts so that the Vondunn crab armor accepts his presence enough to allow him to wear it?

I don't think so. Quite a bit of Yuuzhan Vong gear is usable by humans unshaped, if you know the right ways to stroke it to give it instructions and can tolerate the pain that using it inevitably brings.

Vonduun crab armor rejects and kills non-Vong. Ash has his arm back, which suggests that there's more Vong tech involved in who he is now than just the external crispy, crunchy, tender, flaky Crab Armor crust.

The Wraiths use Vonduun armor on Coruscant, though. I know some of the sets the had were fakes, but a fair deal of it was real captured Vong tech.

Arvel Crynyd didn't crash into the bridge of the Executor. Kyle threw his A-Wing at it.

And the insides of the Vong armor were laminated so they never actually came in contact with the armor. Krayt's armor has pretty clearly latched onto his flesh.
