That was a very big part of the JA trilogy. It's not that bad tho, as an old star trek fan i'm used to this sort of thing.

Um, no. The Super-class ship Tenn fantasizes about being transfered to in the future is a reference to the fake schematics which were produced for the Imperial Senate, not the actual 19 km Executor-class ships which was built later (information which a mere gunner wouldn't have been privy to).

According to the Dawn of Defiance campaign, it was "not the final version." The "Super-class", however, probably does refer to the fake specs given to the Senate.

I do know the 19km Executor-class Star Dreadnaught nonsense is technically canon or I wouldn't have mentioned the old length at all, let alone with the smug smiley. Read between the lines What I mostly find funny, though, is that none of said nonsense ever made it into anything I read - the stuff that really counts, i.e. novels. And whenever the old names/numbers pop up, everyone's always like "yeah, but it's fake and stuff!" I just can't help but make fun of it every now and again. It's just so unreal. Besides, I said that was one of the things that made me like this novel. You want me to dislike it?

After all, given that the Death Star did blow up, I'd be willing to bet that Vader would be forgiving towards the Death Star survivors (Veers and Bast, among others). Or they could have had a legitimate need to leave the station prior to it being in danger.

timmoishere posted:"Shall I have your ship standing by?" says to me that there's a small docking bay near the overbridge that would allow Tarkin a quick escape if necessary. I bet Bast commandeered that ship.
