After the fierce combat of Hard Contact, Triple Zero, and True Colors comes the spectacular culmination...

Ah . . . what fierce combat in Triple Zero? They barely even pulled any gun triggers!

The sad thing is that my first reaction to the cover was: "He's looking straight at me and it's a hardcover!? Ex is going to hate this!"

Hmm... so Delta definately feature. It will be interesting to see how they tie this together with Sev's death from the game then. I assume it means we'll be seeing Kashyyyk at least.

He was just captured? I always figured he died. Oh well.
Either way, it'll be interesting to see how the Kashyyyk mission factors in, as from what I recall the basis of the game level wasn't really that fascinating, it was just a fairly generic "go there to stop the slavers" story.

Yep an almost KotOR 2-class cliffhanger that will presumably only now be resolved.
Must admit reading the info on this makes me consider catching up. I've only read HC.

I'm not sure it was confirmed either way, was it?

There's really no point in the Seps keeping captured commandos alive, though. I don't think they do clone-for-battle droid prisoner exchanges, after all...

No, it's not confirmed. They just had to leave him behind.
The fact that the rest of Delta wanted to rearm and go back after him, however, suggests that they at least believed him to be alive.

I thought that the Battle of Kashyyyk in RC was a separate battle from the Battle of Kashyyyk in ROTS. Given that Tarfful was there when he should have been on Coruscant, Grievous was there when he should have been... I don't remember, somewhere else, and the date the game gives for that mission is several months before Episode III. Wasn't there also another source, like a comic or a young adult novel, that mentioned Yoda being on Kashyyyk earlier in the war? I was under the impression that his appearance in the game was meant to explain his good relations with the Wookiees.

It's not clear how long Delta was on Kashyyyk though, so the timeline can get a bit flexible (exactly when did they rescue Tarful as opposed to when did they grab the AA cannons to take out the Sep ship so that Vos' troops could land?).
Also, it's still speculation that we'll see the Kashyyyk mission, but if we do, there's nothing to stop a Jedi from being with them after the detail of the game end, or them being present with the main group of clone troopers when O66 is given.
This far in advance speculation is going to be extremely hard to do with any degree of accuracy.

I'm pretty sure the battles were intended to be one and the same - at least, that was my impression. Of course, Delta Squad was only there through the point when Republic ships started landing, so it was a good bit before the battle settled in and locked down requiring Yoda's presence.
Do we have any other sources indicating the length of the battle of Kashyyyk? And how does the Battlefront II campaign battle factor in?

I thought that it was accepted that the dates given in the game itself were in error, or that there was some error with the game timing? There was a recent thread that went over a lot of this, iirc.
The general impression I had, at least, was that the very final stage with the AA guns was as Yoda and/or Quinlin Vos were arriving on planet. Either Yoda was already on planet and the troopers were hitting the Sep ship to cover Vos' incoming ships, or that it was Yoda that was incoming and he's the one who the commandos were covering.
Either way, I think it can be worked in easily enough, and I think the main action will most likely take place on Corrie so that we're treated to a bit of Jedi Purge action.
