CooperTFN posted: That looks like crap. What, did you paint it on a piece of plastic and move a camera alongside it? Geez, get After Effects already.
Actually, a couple of friends of mine got a bunch of clips together for a whole movie.
I got some bits of Harrison Ford from Pre-Indiana Jones days, I think they're from American Grafittee. He's in black pants and cowboy boots next to some really hairy guy.
:-)
Honestly, I think it's better than the ones that got the girl from the Professional and Ewan McGreggor into a movie. I mean, seriously, what sort of Star Wars has those two actors? Also the guy from Rob Roy.

I definately think Walon will die, but didn't the events in the last two books point out that Mird and Etain had a connection? If she survives, I would think she would obtain ownership.
In LOTF: Sacrifice, Jaing is alive and he is the owner of Mird. They even made the arrangement for it in True Colors.
I blacked it out in case you haven't read the books yet.

kordo_vos posted: Couldn't it still be correct if one considered the Republic Commandos not a "Clonetrooper group"?
Could be if the group from Dark Lord wasn't a Commando group which I believe they were...
Other alternatives:
- The Empire doesn't know they didn't go through with it. Perhaps Etain just "escapes."
- Perhaps only some of the group disobeys.

New cover out. Is that Coruscant in the background/reflection?

I wouldn't be surprised, but it's probably Jedi blood on that helmet.
This is much uglier than the cover of TC. Seems rather cheap looking to be the cover of a hardcover novel.

Amusing, since this is the first of the covers to be commissioned for the book, instead of being a reuse of concept art for the game!

It might be amusing, but the earlier covers were better, especially the cover for TC.

I like it, the detail of the art itself is spot-on, and the subtlety and simplicity of it as well.
Here's the huge hi-res version, btw: http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/f/f3/RepublicCommandoOrder66.jpg

The cover for TC was great. I think DR takes a much more conservative approach to their HC covers.

Is there some kind of law against spectacular, or even halfway decent, book covers in American publishing? We've had a few good ones, but the number of bland anachronistic computer-edited character shots we've seen recently just boggles the mind.
At least Order 66's cover tells a story. It's better than a lot of what we've been getting.
