Thankfully they still do not know their cousins.
Also their have probably been Ben/Allana pairing fanfics even before we knew of Allana's name as a infant.

OK, we are not going to derail the novel contract thread by talking about Ben ships. Take it to the proper location.

Havac is right. Let's steer this topic back on course( we'll continue this Ben/Allana stuff in the Mrs. Ben Skywalker thread).
So has it been announced yet if they got the contract or not?

My guess is that Del Rey will still keep the Star Wars Contract.

I agree, and from what I can gather, it sounds like there might be two adult-novel contracts? One with Del Rey, and one with another publisher? I'm confused at this point, as the Traviss/Miller listings at Amazon mention Del Rey and Trade Paperbacks. Are they really by Del Rey? If they are, then what would the non-Del Rey contract include?
I could be wrong, and mixing things up with new young-fiction novels -- still, this whole matter does pose some questions.
PS: Perhaps this is the heralding of a "two-headed" Janus contract, both by Del Rey. *laughs*

Yes; they also appear on the publisher's website.

While I consider a split contract for the same target audience (age group) within the same geographic region highly unlikely (I can't think of a single other tie-in line which has done that), the split would likely be along the lines of either material (one publisher with the license for the movies, one with the license for the TV shows) or era. With the former being more likely, because it's easier to enforce.

That was very well stated.
I did not realize they were on the publisher's website. *shamefacedly recedes into the shadows*.

But these Traviss/Miller books could be part of a separate contract (like the RepCom books, or the Star Wars Galaxies book), thus have nothing to do with the new contract... My guess is that the juvenile Clone Wars books which were announced recently are also in a separate contract...

That'd be my guess- something similar to SW Galaxies or the Republic Commando books, which were contracted separately initially as they were game tie-ins, and not part of the main book contract. In this case, they're probably being contracted separately as being CW3D tie-ins.
