Jedi Ben posted: I too, do not see anything wrong with what Cade did in this issue - in fact, he gives Rav a chance he doesn't deserve.
Is it me or is there a tendency for people to engage in defending the indefensible? First Jacen, now Rav! I mean, I can see a rationale for Jacen as the character has its fans but Rav?!
In this case I think it has to do with a blind hatred for Cade. I don't understand why, but I've liked the character from the start and I love his angst and fighting with both being a Jedi and the dark side, however some people don't like his character at all and only want to see the bad in him. In this case, he doesn't deserve that. What he did with Rav was more noble, Rav deserved to die and Cade should have killed him as I'm sure we'll see later this will come back to haunt Cade. But that seems to be a Skywalker trait where they allow evil people to live far too long.
However, I do think Cade did the right thing in not killing him as far as the force goes, because he can't afford to be killing out of anger.

Sounds like one of those names that's an anagram of another name.
I had a moment's freak out when I got "Zayne" out of it...but there are leftover letters.
Any thoughts?

Raz-Al-Yen. The... spelling's off a little, but he could end up being Zayne's instructor... in the skill of bartering with Japanese currency.

Guess wha'? I was just looking for the name of "Azlyn" on one site, and guess what it said...
Name: Azlyn
Irish Meaning: a vision or dream
Gender: Girl
Yep. That's what I found.

I need to be given a reason to like Cade. If my opinion is blind hatred, then I could offer that yours is blind love, Horsey . He's a bounty hunter, he turned a Jedi who spent his entire life trying to help people over to the Sith(he's dead now by the way, poor Hosk), he slept with Darth Talon who's master ordered the murder of his father and friends. He did escape the "Sith" and save his friends. I'll give him marks for saving them, and prehaps even letting the Imperials go, but he has a lot of un-redeeming qualities as well. I'm gonna look back through the comics again to see if my "blind hatred" is justified. I actually find it perplexing that everyone seems to like him but me.....

It's because people on both sides of the argument have trouble with the idea that liking a character does not necessarily mean liking the person that the character is. Cade's a great character because he's a dirtbag.
I like him because he's a scoundrel. There aren't enough scoundrels in my life.

I really liked seeing Cade back in the pirate fold, and interesting to se ehim take back control from Rav. I thought that Deliah should have made him stew a little longer and not give in too fast but that's just me
Syn was really funny, and Cade's lack of awareness was very amusing, although it shows that he has grown because he went to talk to Blue rather then ignoring his problems and hoping they will go away.
